  1. The local garden center is already selling plants, but the NWS is forecasting a freeze here for Saturday night.
  2. I saw the accumulating snow at Bolton Valley, MRG and Stratton and put 2+2 together. I thought the Mount Snow stake was accurate. Didn't realize they had snow earlier than today on the stake. I guess the sun angle melted the snow on the roof. My bad.
  3. Snowing art the summit of Stratton as well, unless it's from last season.
  4. Snowing in Vermont from Bolton Valley to Mount Snow. 3" new at the summit of Mount Snow. Just snowing lightly at Sugarloaf, but it's buried in snow.
  5. Vail Resorts closing all properties from tommorow through March 22nd. http://news.vailresorts.com/corporate/update-on-coronavirus-from-vail-resorts.htm
  6. All ski areas in Switzerland are closed for the season.
  7. Mohawk Mountain is closed for the season due to Corona Virus. That's it for skiing in Connecticut.
  8. Posted in the Corona Virus thread, but Berkshire East and Catamount are closed due to the virus threat.
  9. Ski Sundown is closed for the season. They lost too much snow over the last few days to reopen this weekend.
  10. Sundown is losing cover fast. I hit rocks skiing there last Tuesday and Saturday was an icy unpleasant mess. They are currently closed and might reopen on Friday, but I doubt it.
  11. I skied there in January of 1998, just before they closed.
  12. Saddleback put in an order for a HSQ chair to replace the Rangely Double Chair with Dopplemayer.
  13. Nice day today at Mount Snow with packed powder and machine groomed. Comfortable temperatures in the upper 20's and lower 30's. The mountain is in good shape for the crowds on Presidents Week,
  14. 0.25" YTD 24.50". Changed to rain here at 4am.

  16. I skied at Mohawk Mountain today with my son. Beautiful bluebird sunshine with the temperature right around 32F. Suprisingly snowmaking was ongoing all day long on unopened trails. It was a mix of groomed granular and some packed powder on Wildwood which had snowmaking on it last night.
  17. It looks like Saddleback got the loan needed to reopen: https://www.boston.com/news/skiing/2020/01/27/heres-the-latest-on-saddleback-mountain-in-maine
