  1. MSN down to -23 breaking the old record
  2. down to -15 at MSN. Tomorrow's record low of -21 is definitely in play.
  3. taking an early look at records for MSN, some of the more attainable ones are: 1/30 Record Low Max -1F 1/31 Record Low -22 F 1/31 Record Low Max -6F 2/1 Record Low Max -1 F If some of the models pan out then record lows of -26F and -28F on the 29th and 1st seem reachable
  4. 105 straight hours below zero in Madison on the 0z GFS.

  10. Woah, 18z gfs decides to give 8-12 inches to a large part of S Wisconsin. Bumped QPF amounts from around .6" to .8"
  11. got down to -14 last night at Madison. Definitely tanked with calm winds for most of the night
  12. Down to -3 in Madison already at 7 PM. Have a feeling we can blow past the forecast low of -7 especially if winds can stay calm
  13. got about 5.5"-6" in downtown Madison. A family member northwest of town got 6.2"

  18. GFS has had the low running from Kansas City to just north of Chicago for the past couple runs. ECMWF has a similar idea. Both bring a big hit to southern Wisconsin. Unfortunately looks like rain for areas further south.
  19. Might be hauling in a MSN jackpot on the frontogenesis band. GFS/FV3/NAM/HRRR all showing between 7 and 9 inches here.

Otherwise I think we could all be very accurate with our guesses.
  21. And there's a severe threat through Oklahoma and Arkansas the next couple days. The seasons are really out of wack in 2018.
  22. This is like a late April system in late June. Can't wait for the death ridge to push the MCS pattern up into Canada after this.
  23. I think HAARP has been acting up again. And there was a recent deployment of chemtrails up north as well.
