  1. 12z NAM pushes freezing rain all the way up to MSN, no snow with the first band but still 6"-9" with the second wave
  2. 3km NAM has about a foot total here between the two waves. less sleet mixing in as well.
  3. SN/IP line comes right up to MSN between noon and 6pm Saturday cutting down on totals here. The back end of the storm moves out quicker as well, snow is done by midnight.
  4. NAM going big league in IA/S WI with the first wave, 4-5" +
  5. Lots of icing occurring with the freezing rain in central Wisconsin right now. Numerous reports of slideoffs and accidents on almost all major roads.
  6. All the models are now showing heavy snow in S WI saturday evening. Could definitely see some 1"+ rates for a period between 6pm and midnight.
  7. Verbatim it's a 6 hour period of sleet here . still accumulates almost a foot of snow though.

  9. Black River Falls hit -8 which was the coldest spot in the lower 48 this morning
  10. 3.9" today in Madison as of 1 PM, 5" storm total and 8.0" on the month. Both daily and monthly records
  11. Madison officially has it's snowiest October on record, with 5.5 inches as of 7 am.
  12. the NAMs are trending down from their crazy high totals in SC Wisconsin, now projecting a more reasonable 1-3"

  15. looking good for a couple inches tomorrow night in Madison, will be interesting to see how efficient the accumulation is on pavement. Should make for an interesting tuesday morning commute
  16. Rochester, Minnesota just broke the record for wettest year on record and there are still 3.5 months left in the year. Crazy.
