    Just a steady light snow long duration that pops moderate a bit and was just a degree or two cold enough in the weak sun daylight to accumulate

    I’m almost moderate 2.25” We did something that’s hard to do around here which is accumulate snow in the daytime with rates 1/8-1/4”ph

    1pm obs 30F, very light snow, 0.7” on snowboard. max radiational effect occurred 20 minutes ago and produced a 33.5F

    12 noon obs Kemp Mill 29F. Light snow, small flakes but steady, roads and sidewalks 50/50, closing in on 0.5” accum and peak sun over in an hour.

    Bob I’d say the 60’s also , Arctic front blows through like todays and kicked off a week or longer of cold and snow. Very few winters it didn’t happen, I think just two in the 60’s

    I hope and think by Saturday we will identify that the pattern changed today 1/14. We received info starting 12/15 that such change was 5-7 days away and lived with those delays for a month but looking like the true pattern change of a week of well below average temps with snow instead of 50’s and heavy rain.

    Been talking about this 18 hour+ duration snd like others said cold up top so fluffy and dark and it could be .30/31 and we would do fine but it will be colder.
