I was In that torrent between Andrews and Camp Springs around 6. Sheer downpour with sun blazing slightly to west.

NWS really been missing bad all summer on rain and storm calls for DC proper. Missed a few that were significant and overreacting to each event that generally miss us.

Some spots in DE along rte 13 showing 5/6” rain.

Most lightning this season or last several. Had 4 strikes with instant thunder in 10 min period.

On way up to Baltimore, around 95/32 intersection, car thermo dropped from 101 to 73. Looks nasty toward Bay Bridge.

I’ve been in 3 60mph+ gusts torrential sheets of rain thunderstorms already. Dont have typical summer outlook this year but I think well below average number of 90 days like 25 even though overall temp average about 0.5 of normal Tropics busy will go with 16 named but just 7 hurricanes 2 of which major.

I was in this at 95 and Balt Beltway, Very soft splatting hail, unreal sheets of rain with 50 mph gusts for about 15 minutes. Lots of cars pulled over, 20-25 mph top speed driving.

3pm update Mixing began at 2:30 with a snow, wet snow/rain mix oscillating. Temp dropped from 39.8 to 36.8.

He has the predisposition to negative melancholy that many do.

March trying hard

Down to about 2.5 now but trees still really nice. I got the bonanza of 11.5” from the long duration event. So many got so much less; however it’s been a good snowfall winter right here.
