    Going to have to see how this works out. 75% of you killed off Fred and now are Grace. Pessimism is not forecasting. Experience shows that storms that get battered by Cuba and the like do reintensify when they move back into Gulf with anything remnant left of them and begin a nw-ne motion. This appears to be happening with Fred and if that shear drops away, which is possible but not likely, then watch out

    Was on Reichs Ford and just to south along 80 lost traffic lights and other electric out. Soon as headed down 270 the limb damage look liked about 60mph winds for a 1.5 mile stretch

    Perhaps the best thing I cull from here is when a veteran local observer with complete knowledge turns in Obs of “most in decade(s)…….most Ever. “

    Was just north of Urbana around 5 and worst was couple miles to south along 80 and then south down 270. Traffic lights out along 80 in business area and down 270 leaf splatter and broken limbs looked like 60 mph winds happened.

    Two nights of scattered bad, I missed this with 0.25 after two hour 2” drowning night before

    1.95” in one hour 45 minutes. in Greenbelt now and office flooded about 50% one inch deep

    This is a rare full blown stall train. 1.9” since onset, 1.2 at 7pm and 0.7 in last 40 minutes. Pink orange sky

    Slow moving and still pouring. 0.80” in45 mins. I think I’ve had 1”+ in1 hour about 8 times since June 1.

    Just got back and it’s a mess. street littered with small branches, moderate to large branches down, seen one tree split in half. Anemometer went out but from experience had to be 65mph+

    I still think we get a punch of around 100 in August but like I said in June if the heat doesn’t set up by July 4th then it won’t. We’ve done lots of 90-93 but the brutal 97+ days after day for 10-20 straight does not look in the making

    I would love to find a spot like the one I had in my childhood to take my grandchildren to.
