  1. I believe at this point just watching how the models are playing out is all you can do. Trying to figure potential snow totals is basically guessing, but it can be fun and an interesting challenge.
  2. The Euro shows a low in Mississippi moving off Delaware and pretty strong, the GFS not on board, shows a weak low that develops way offshore.
  3. Heavy overcast here, looks like it could snow at any minute. Looks like heavy snow about 20 miles south of Long Island.
  4. Hurricane force wind warning off the coast of Virginia.
  5. For you snow lovers in the D.C. area, I hope you get a good dumping. You have gotten the shaft the last few years.
  6. For the snow lovers in the D.C. area, I am glad they are in for a good snowfall. They have missed most of the action on the east coast, the last few years.
  7. Temperatures as low as about -50 degrees in Alaska. They have had a cold winter so far, although they have had some brief warm ups.
  8. Quite a snow event just to our south. Areas not to far from us will possibly get double digit amounts. Some models even have our southern and coastal areas getting as much as 2-4 inches. Should be interesting to watch in such a non event winter so far.
  9. GFS has gone from giving D.C. little if any snow earlier today, now were talking double digits.
  10. RGEM and GEFS have gone further north. Looking better for you guys.
  11. After the potential storm in about a weeks time, looks like some very cold air to follow.
  12. At this point looks like the mid Atlantic around Virginia, Delaware could get some decent snows on Monday. Long Island may get brushed.
  13. Glad to see more people taking interest in the potential snow threat early Monday. Some of the models seem to be leaning toward what the GFS has been indicating.
  14. Latest GFS seems to show some good snows toward the coast early Monday morning.
