  2. Low CAPE, and modestly high shear and a WF always gets my interest especially in winter.
  3. Tor warnings now and I expect to see more given the conditions in Illinoi southward.
  4. Leery of ice IMBY or anywhere nearby of the magnitude shown. Would rather have a nice t storm like I had here on Jan. 3, 2023. Enjoyed the recent 3 inch snow but I am ready for an early spring since I saw my first robin of the season yesterday.
  5. he Monday extension of the tor watch as far north as se KS intrigues me along with the expected CAPE for tomorrow in the Calumet region. But the present intensity of the low is 1002 mb in sw KS. Will have to deepen and move ne to get us in the game up here. We'll see how things evolve overnight this Monday into Tuesday.
  6. Bah humbug. I like waiting for a big storm somewhere but I hate the timing. Had relatives wanting to come down to nw IN from Green Bay for Christmas. Now they may have to wait till New Years or spring.
  7. Heavy rain yesterday and last Tuesday the 18th I ran into some good LES squalls driving between Rochester and Plymouth Indiana coming home from a meeting at Peru back to Griffith. Such is our Indiana fall weather.
  8. Well, LOT seems to think the storms will be entering Chi town around 8 p.m. in their graphic rather than the wee hours near dawn tomorrow unless a new batch forms. Will be interesting to see how his plays out .

  18. We have been lucky here in nw IN this spring in escaping svr events. Our luck may soon be about to change. Those dews are horrendous.

  21. Am becoming a bit concerned about the storms forming along I-39 and U,S, 51 in Illinois that I presume is the area of the front itself. Svr warnings are starting to come out now along it.
  22. Seems to be a bit of confusion at NWS Chicago. "Radar confirmed" tornado warning issued for the Oak Brook area and shortly thereafter cancelled. Was there an actual touchdown? Tag said "observed."
  23. No svr or tor warnings as yet. I would sit tight for awhile till a storm warning is issued to give you some directional guidance.
