  13. Storm ne of Quincy and west of Peoria should be moving into an area of lower LCL readings before too long
  14. Storm sw of Hannibal MO developing a hook
  15. I do think given the storm motion of those svr cells over Missouri that more of Illinois should have been included in the tornado watch. I recognize T/Td spread is rather high but I think this will lessen as moisture continues to flow north.
  16. Am certainly aware of capping EML issues for Tuesday but ever since the Utica IL F3 on April 20, 2004 I am always very leery of warm fronts in the spring, particularly when other parameters are looking like a loaded gun.
  17. Hook forming on huge cell east of Peoria per WGN radar
  18. Large confirmed tor sw of Peoria near Canton
  19. I am expecting multiple PDS tor watches to be issued today in the affected areas. This system is just so potent with parameters and the clearing skies only make things more unstable.
  20. Since I live in Griffith I will be monitoring this board and warnings all day Friday and am somewhat nervous hearing your concern Fortunately I live in a basement apartment.
  21. Looks ominous for a large area and if storms continue to occur with this frequency that we have currently seen and with higher amplitude our Midwest may be in for quite a svr wx season this spring.
  22. Interesting observations. Why do I think that our Midwest tornado season this year is going to be much more active than usual? It is because we are coming out of La Nina which tends to be more favorable, Illinois has had tors on Jan. 3 and Feb. 27 and I had a strong t storm IMBY here at Griffith on Jan. 3. A bit unusual to say the least.
  23. Gee, the tor watch goes as far ne as Champaign and Danville Illinois. Certainly did not expect that today.
