  1. Yea, winter is coming to an end. But who knows, we just might have a major winter storm to contend with before things settle down. Looking forward to a good thunderstorm to kick off the Spring season. Maybe the cold er air already in place will diminish our chances here in eastern Pennsylvania.
  2. For this week so far .79 rain. For the year so far 2.64in.
  3. Ed Russo dopnsroteS0g548t77715i57380l8uf6if08htlc413tut148h64h351al08 · The Appalachians will act like a weather divide across Pennsylvania tomorrow. Warm southwesterly winds push mild air into western PA, while cool easterly flow traps clouds and chilly air east of the mountains. Same state. Same afternoon. Very different air masses!
  4. US National Weather Service State College PA 6-10/8-14 Day Temperature & Precip Outlooks: Strong warm signal for temperatures above the historical average weighted heavily toward March 10-11 will be followed by more seasonably cooling trend into mid-March. 5. Indeed they can be very cruel to us. But better days of temps in the 90's and dp in the 70's aren't too far away!
  6. Can't believe that the ground is still that cold, despite some of the recent days that were very warm. There are spots on some untreated roads that are iced over. And there are some schools that canceled classes for the day. My lane is solid ice. And temp is still at 32 @11:04am.
  7. March has arrived with wind. Feels like winter again compared to yesterday.
  8. From what i'm reading, Seems like the "forever Winter crew" is suddenly looking forward to Spring.
  9. Thats what I remember about the storm I don't remember and issues at my place from the storm. Maybe we had a half inch or so from it. the further east/ northeast (and the increase in elevation) there was more snow. And we were traveling to Gratz so my grandfather could purchase a wringer washer. And I still have that wringer washer. But hasn't been used in decades. And if i'm right that was the last year of they made them.
  10. 20 is the new 40 after all the ridiculous cold that was bestowed upon us weeks ago.
  11. I remember April 1982. I had barely any snow here (being I live down in the valley) elevation 460. I remember going through a little town of Hebe, Pa. elevation 661ft. and there was about 6 inch of snow, there were plows out plowing.
  12. Cooper and his grandmother are thinking ahead — way ahead — and preparing for a special snowball fight in July. https://www.wgal.com/article/boy-keeping-snowballs-in-freezer-for-july/70468549
