    The 12 GFS is throwing out a few flakes for Thursday night and then some upslope snow for the 3rd also with another cold front pushing in. Nothing major at this time but it will be nice to see it steadily cold with a few flakes in the air. The NAM is on board for tomorrow night also and looks a bit more impressive than the GFS.

    Yeah iv been noticing that as well. Especially in the higher elevations around the Boone area. Also im liking how the Euro kind of reloads the trough in the East. The GFS does not do that so we will see what happens but this seasons in seasons weather is damn near perfect and something we really haven't seen for this time if the year much lately.

    A beautiful frosty cold morning with a low of 29 degrees. The coldest of the season.

    Some really nice rains this afternoon and evening. Cold also. Current temp is 46 degrees. Feels like early December. Man I love this weather.

    Woooo! Had a heavy frost this morning with a low of 30 degrees! Man what a 2 week pattern change. With this cold snap and freezing/frosty temps I do believe we can salvage our fall color this year and its not over yet...

    Had a low of 34 this morning but no frost with the constant wind. Tonight will be much different. What a pattern change from a few weeks ago.

    Good morning! Boy this morning was cool and crisp! Had a low of 47 degrees. I am looking forward to even cooler nights this weekend.

    A beautiful picture perfect day today! A high of 60 degrees with overcast weather all day. Temps down into the 50s and it's beautiful! Been waiting on this for a month!

    It looks like Thursday into Friday will be the transition day.

    We will finally cool down to near normal this weekend but what has my eye is the following mid week when a true cold front pushed much colder air in here. We need the cooler weather and more moisture and I think we will get both.
