I like what GSP put out. The models have kind of been up and down. At least put an advisory up to let everyone know hey things may get dicey. Which they did. If things deteriorate they can always upgrade.

I think this backside changeover has some merit.

Obviously the CAD regions in the area look to at least get some ice and mixed precipitation on the front end of this thing. Its hard to tell how long the cold air will hang onto those locations. I fully expect that all will change to rain then we get wrap around upslope snow for the favored areas. This would be an awesome snowstorm for us if we just had the cold air. Looks like we are going to get another 1 to 2 inches of rainfall.... Just add to the 2 foot surplus we already have....

Nothing like a good old fashioned flizzard day. Exactly!
-
Same here. Temps holding at 32 with sizzle.
-
Yeah yall go read what Griteater has put up in the mid range thread. Its a great read and has some solid merrit to it.
-
Great info grit and could not agree more.
-
36 degress here with a misty snow blowing in. The wind is ripping as wncsnow alluded to.
-
Yeah you may get a few inches at the onset of the precipitation tomorrow morning. You and Joe are in a great position to see some high elevation snow.
-
Well buckle up its going to get wet around here tonight and tomorrow. Lots and lots of rainfall.
-
The CAD has to be very strong to make it down in our area then it erodes pretty quickly.
-
Its over fellas.
-
Yeah this has been a concern for me watching this play out. We will lose the blocking eventually and that look never produces for us. A cold Alaska does not really equate to a cold East.
-
Probably longer than all of last year.
-
Euro was no dice guys???
-
The GFS is not on board with the Euro. The pattern is slowly breaking down for us. You can see the cold air starting to dump into the west more and more. That does not bode well for us in the future.
-
Until the GFS jumps on it im not buying it from the EURO.
-
Ended up with 1.5 inches. The wind was just ripping last night so nothing really stuck. Had a low of 17 this morning. Going to be another cold winter day.
-
The moisture feed upstream looks good. Should snow the majority of the night in the most favored areas.
-
Steady snow this evening. What a beautiful sight. Enjoy fellas! Joe I hate you are missing this one.
-
Its hammering here finally. Grass and drive are white. Still no sign of letting up.
-
The snow should be set in the rest of the day now. Temp right at 32.
-
Moderate to heavy snow now. I literally cannot see off the mountain.
-
Moderate snow falling. The deck and cars are getting covered.
