  1. No worries - could happen to anyone
  2. I am now at 3-5 inches forecasted. We’ll see if that changes later. Given temps, they are right to be careful IMO.
  3. Agree - also, people in the Philly suburbs weren’t expecting much of anything and may be surprised.
  4. Have a winter weather advisory for 2-4 inches. May go a bit higher based on new data. Hope the LV gets those high totals.
  5. Yes does it seem odd to you that those later threats would be suppressed? Doesn’t seem like that kind of winter.
  6. Keeping expectations in check but 2-4”+ for many seems reasonable depending on how cold it can get. Ratios are the thing to watch.
  7. You are right. I would take another storm like that though my location always seems to get the lower end. The low elevation does not help.
  8. Yep. Wish we could lock that in. While I still love snow I am a decent bit older than when I started on this board and more cautious about getting excited.
  9. Thanks MJO - good run for PHL-NYC but still little room for north swings.
  10. Yes it is in that favorable pattern, and we are weather people, so why not track? A phase would have made that a better solution. Just keep an eye on it.
  11. Heavy snow would lead to good ratios but 10-1 might be on the high side. Interested again though.
  12. Monday’s always been a bonus. Need a lot to go exactly right. But very encouraging that the good pattern and storm threats are staying on the models.
  13. In the meantime it is at least nice to see the sun. I thought I had moved to Seattle, lol.
  14. Yeah I live near Pope John Paul II high school in Upper Providence Township. Only a couple miles from Royersford proper. To me it didn’t look much more than the 4 inches you got.
  15. I hope it lives up to it. The fact we got some real winter in January makes me feel more positive. A 6+ inch storm would make this winter a worthy one IMO. I know Royersford recorded 6 inches during the last storm but it didn’t look like that much where I am in Upper Providence. Though I didn’t measure due to the ice that was all over my driveway.
  16. I am pretty freaked out by that 80. I know there is climate change, but wow!
  17. I think this is a really good take, Don. We should at least get some favorable periods in February. But winter lovers have to wait out long stretches of mild a lot nowadays. Even in the heart of winter.
  18. After doing some shoveling yesterday I will revise my amount up. Couldn’t tell well by eyeballing. More like 5 inches fell.
  19. Got 3 inches here in Royersford. I think the heaviest went just to the south but this was a very nice, very wintry storm.
  20. Got around 2.5 inches here. Will certainly take. Nice to already be tracking another storm, too.
  21. Yes, if we can keep it up into February for a while we could get a good best part of winter.
  22. Have been 2 warnings here but so far just wet roads. It sure is nice to see some winter.
  23. A couple inches in the 20s would at least make for a nice winter scene. Could be a lot worse.
  24. At least a good many are better than the OP. I think we can’t expect a big storm but moderate is still on the table.
