  1. Made it to 34° today after low of 21°... Normals for this date are 54/38.
  2. About a -5 degree departure so far this month... Just 0.22" of precip this month with not much showing up on the 12z guidance over the next week to 10 days...We'll see if that changes in the coming days.
  3. Yeah maybe our long range forcasters here can start adding salt accumulations to their outlooks
  4. Same here 22° currently...Another station record for coldest so early.
  5. Looks like we'll be well down in the 20's by midnight for low temps, with a 55 degree reading here this morning for the high...with some on and off light snow past couple hours.
  6. To go along with the record cold coming...Probably set a record there for " warmest temp when salting streets"
  7. Made it to 60° here on Monday...currently 53°, likely to be around 23° in 24hrs.
  8. There was a lot of the old "On colder surfaces" line thrown around.
  9. After Wednesday? Looks well below normal this coming weekend.
  10. Can't these geniuses keep these possible very minor events "in house" so to speak...instead of making these public statements, which lead to the inevitable "Weather man was wrong" comments from the public.
  11. Of course the cold Will be the story with the cold front and not the precip.
  12. We may have a shot at some record lows from Tues ( midnight) thru Thurs am. This arctic outbreak coincides with the one in 1986 when my station hit 19°.
  13. 24° low sets station record for coldest so early in season...maybe we can do it again with next week's airmass. Similar early cold records were set last Nov also.
  14. With the talk about early snows and crappy winters....I had forgotten already that last year fit that bill...had 6" here on 11/15, then just 5.5" from Dec thru Feb... March delivered 10" to at least get me over 20".
  15. They forecast low Temps for my area like it's Manhattan...whether it's point and click or zone forcasts, it's usually the same as the urban boroughs...even the models do it.
  16. Didn't really mean to single you out...just a general reminder.
  17. With a mean temp of 58.8° this October was the 6th warmest during 42 years of record...Precipitation totaled 6.61" and 52.55" ytd.
  18. Gusted to 40mph behind the front...temp down to 59°, midnight high of 72°.
