  1. Yeah I first noticed that when I was a little kid. Pouring here now...no thunder.
  2. 0.38" for day, 7.18" month and 61.25" year.
  3. Way above that yearly total here on SI.... Will finish the year with around 63" after this current event.
  4. Mean monthly temp here after today is 35.8°...Normal for Dec is 36.2°, so will finish very close to normal.
  5. My station Dec record for precipitation is 8.17" set way back in 1983...Total so far is 6.80" so it's doable. This after 11 straight dry days.
  6. You tend to get in trouble when you start off your posts with a valid point but usually wind up going over the top...You do it a lot.
  7. Have had a lot of good radiating nights outside of city...Yeah today was my first big +departure with a 54/43 temp split.
  8. Gonna go 11 straight days with no precip and still finish the month with over 8" here if current guidance holds. Also current temp departure for month is -1.7°.
  9. Hard to pick out a favorite snowstorm but the boxing day storm may be it for me...The storm itself coupled with it occurring around Christmas...We always would go to my parents on Christmas day to celebrate...Knowing there was a blizzard coming the next day seemed too good to believe.
  10. Well certainly looks wet next 10 days on euro. Upwards of 3" or so....No cold air though for that period.
  11. Yeah I really enjoy the holidays...feel a big letdown after new years. Have a happy.
  12. Don't you keep them up thru the first week of Jan?
  13. 29° currently...Above normal high temps last few days but near average night time lows. Been dry for over a week now....still at 6.80" for month and with rain coming by Sunday late, should still finish as high as 8" for month.
  14. If you people would make the effort... Someone created a new thread for this topic and yet you continue to put it here.
  15. And to all a good night geez.... 24 degrees this am.
  16. I know, we all kid. Everything is slanted nowadays....people like you and I know it and filter accordingly... Unfortunately their are alot of people out there who can't think for themselves and believe everything they hear and read. I agree with the above post that people would be more informed if they read a newspaper instead of getting all their news from clicks.
  17. I'm set in my ways lol....I'm 59 years old and have had the morning paper delivered since I was born...Mom and dad did it and I continue to this day.
  18. Merry Christmas to all my fellow weenies...Have a joyful time...
  19. What a non story....The headline above says it all...Are they saying that the Christmas week is warming more because of a meteorological reason? Just a fluke...Consider the source.
  20. Yes agree...Of course newspapers are the worst place to get a weather forecast because they're printed well before you read them. I've always found that papers are terrible with any type of science coverage especially weather.
  21. Nice diurnal range today in suburbia.... 54°/28°.
  22. Interesting watching the small up and down temp variations with subtle wind variations on one's pws...
  23. 34°/19° temp split yesterday.... 21° low this am.
