  1. 0.04" here this morning. The oaks have really turned in the past 2-3 days. They seem about 3 weeks early, as they are usually pretty late.
  2. Trees are definitely starting to turn much faster now. Many trees that were mostly green last week are fully turned already. The side yard tree here did this in just two days.
  3. We've had two hard freezes here but there's still a ton of bugs around. The ladybugs have gone apeshit over the past few days, worse than I've ever seen.
  4. Looks like Sante Fe around here. And we were one of the lucky ones a few weeks back to get over a half inch. Pretty sad two month stretch we have here.
  5. 24 here this morning. Growing season is toast.
  6. Only some frost was expected, but we ended up with a hard freeze at 28. Probably gonna dip below 25 tonight.
  7. Looks like a tenth or two of precip around the 22nd and then bone dry through halloween. Hopefully a real weather system arrives in November.
  8. Yeah this has been the longest dull stretch of weather I can remember.
  9. Wonder if clippers will return this winter. Seems like they've been largely absent for several winters in a row now.
  10. Coolest morning so far with 35 here. Maybe some patchy frost?
  11. Got lucky and had a rogue northern cell pass through with a good heavy downpour followed by some steady anvil rains. Picked up 0.62".
  12. It's a good thing you guys got that 2-2.5" of rain at the end of August or it'd really be getting bad.
  13. Looks like zero rain for the first half of Oct for many of us.
  14. Might get a few rain showers about 8 days from now.
  15. Glad we got the rain we did as it's looking bone dry again for 10-14 days.
  16. 0.35" early this morning, up to 1.08" for Sep.
  17. Nice thunderless downpour moved through late this morning and dropped over a half inch of rain. Up to 0.72" for the day now.
  18. Not feeling overly optimistic for this area, as the heavier rains look very hit or miss-ish later tonight and tomorrow out this way. Looking beyond, looking dry/boring again after this system moves off. Hopefully a more active pattern can develop as we move through October.
  19. 0.00" of rain overnight. 0.00" for September here, MLI on the board with a T.
  20. Hit 90 today at MLI, which is the 3rd one for Sep, and 3 out of the last 4 days have hit 90. The 3rd 90 degree day brings them to a tie for July, when only 3 90+ days occurred. Looks like tomorrow and Thu will reach 90, so will end up surpassing July's count.
  21. Zero rain and temps near 90 for the next 10 days. Fire danger doing to become an issue with so much dry vegetation and unharvested dry crop fields covering the land. What an awful pattern.
