Dry, dry, dry for the rest of the month.

Yeah seems the rain chances are going to be few and far between for the northern portion of the sub. August is going to be an interesting month with a strengthening strong El Niño. How the hell are we 6ish weeks away from met fall?

Anyway, I’m taking advantage of the warm summer and drier days ahead, me and the pops are hitting the lake this week for crappie fishing. Time to stock the deep freeze.

  2. It appears cyclones call for a wet July has come to fruition, at least here locally, as training thunderstorms brought 3.50” of rain Saturday morning. Multiple chances of rain this coming week, the flash drought should soon be a distant memory.

They did. Significant tree damage in tolono and savoy. I live in savoy. Traffic being redirected. No power for 2 hours now. Buddy had a tree fall on his house with wife and kids inside.

good luck telling a bunch of freedom loving patriots in indiana and wisconsin they can't blow stuff up

I’m not sure if you’re joking or not, but freedom isn’t free, and my uncle gave the ultimate sacrifice for this country. Be blessed to live in the greatest nation, people died for this freedom.

  5. One positive to the drought are the cooler nights they usher in, the brutally hot summer of 2012 featured quite a few of them. IMO nothing is worse than a 80 degreee low, ironically the summer of 2011 was notorious for hot humid nights.

Day 13 of no precip and if we don't get any tomorrow on the weak back door front, I don't see us getting any for at least 10 more days. It is going to get bad fast here. We only had .92 last month to begin with, so it wasn't like the other 20 days last month were wet either.

Heading into the driest part of the year, things can quickly spiral out of control. Corn is wilting here already.

The grass got started early due to warmth in the 1st half of April, so its going dormant fast now with no rain.

7” snowfall during the winter certainly didn’t help. We might be in trouble soon. Things look bleak.

Looks like a potential 7+ day stretch of 90+ degree days starting tomorrow for this area.

Could be some hit and miss afternoon storms starting Wednesday.  Anyone who is lucky enough to get caught underneath one of them should feel quite fortunte lol.

Gonna be definite hit or miss.my grid has no rain for 10+ days and upper 80s and lower 90s. 2012 lite summer incoming?
