With 0% chance now of sustaining a snowpack and the extended looking seasonable and dry, give me an early spring. This two week winter was not one to remember.

54 in the paign. Buffalo blue cheese smash burgers on the blackstone. Don’t hate it.

No snow for Christmas or New Years and a virtually snowless December, combined with a winter hiatus with a 2-3 week torch during the dead of winter leaves me staring down the barrel of another F winter. This decade of the 2020s has featured some very lackluster winters.

Today had a very March feel to it muddy, cloudy and windy with temps in the 40’s. Kind of don’t want the winter pattern to reload around Valentines Day, towards the end of February my body is craving spring.

Now to add some actual piss and moan banter. No matter the pattern or expectation, I HATE watching snow melt. Far more irritating to me than any model failure.
Snowpack was obliterated quickly here, down to patches and 95% bare ground. After a virtually snowless December, and a torch the next two weeks, I say let’s turn the page to spring.

Funny how fast your body acclimates to cold temps, these 35 degree temps have me in a hoodie lol.

Looks awful through 1st week of Feb. Euro gets 40-50 degree temps into northern Alberta
and then the dreaded sun angle talks ramp up by mid February. Fun stretch for Strong El Niño standards, but nothing crazy. I would be totally fine punting the rest of the winter.

Winter looks to go on hiatus until at least the first week of February. Already have 50’s popping in my forecast for late January/early February. Curious to see how the pattern unfolds later into February.

This is actually quite a good stretch for a strong nino.
Oh for sure. Quite impressive honestly. No arguments here on that front.

has nothing to do with the pixie dust fest, if that's what you're trying to insinuate.
Nope. Just general pattern and snowcover.

Crazy how 23° feels like 65° after having to wear my dad's old army-issued snow onesie that I finessed years ago on dog walks the last few days
Ditto. Wait until next week for the right on time mid winter thaw. Although, muted as previously advertised.

Have a snow depth of ~12", mostly low ratio cement. The upcoming cold snap will have this glacier hanging around for weeks.
Weather is so fascinating for reasons like this. It’s amazing how different our climates can be 2 hours apart. Congrats!

11.3" so far here as of a bit ago. Snow continues...
You and hawkeye had a great week! Post pics man.

Looks zzz for the foreseeable future. May very well be rolling into the latter part of January with 3.5” of snow and roughly 24 hours of snowcover. Just brutal luck.
