Tomorrow rings in 2024. Models are pointing towards a stormier pattern for the sub. Discuss.

Was CRUSHED with 1.7” out of that WSW
What could have been. We had 1” here, wind whipped at 50mph. Still ground blizzard conditions. Could only imagine had we got the 3-6” that was modeled paired with that wind.

Maxed at 61 here. Me and pops are smoking a brisket. Clunker winter continues to last at least through the first week of January.

I dream of a legendary winter similar to 2013-2014. The 11-17-13 tornado outbreak, the early December snowstorm, polar vortex blizzard, Thundersnow in February, 18” Snow depth with record cold was something I’ll talk to my grandkids about.
@michsnowfreakreading his recap gives me goosebumps and butterflies. It was truly the best winter we could ever have here.

This sub does pretty well without being moderated as most of us are adults but this turd needs flushed.
Ignoring trolls is the greatest deterrent.

Keeping expectations low during a borderline very strong El Niño keeps your sanity. So anything noteworthy that does pop up is a welcome surprise. This winter has been playing like out strikingly similar to 2015-16 so far.

Stark contrast from a year ago at this time. Have 60 in the forecast for Christmas Eve, with upper 50s for Christmas Day. No matter what happens from here on out, this will significantly hamper my grade on this winter. Snow for the holidays is magical , even if no snow, cold sets the tone.

We literally went from a triple La Niña to a strong borderline super Nino. Brutal.

GHD I brought me here. Before I was on any weatherboards I had read rumblings of a possible historic blizzard for the MW and google brought me here. The snowfall maps leading up the that storm were unlike anything I had seen for my area, I’m pretty sure if memory serves correct I slept 8 hours over a 48 hour period leading up to the storm.

Fun little event, and definitely a nice surprise and start to the season. It’s raw outside. 33 with 15-25mph winds. Cheers to winter 23-24.

Wasn’t expecting anything from this, to my surprise I woke up and it’s ripping pretty good, sticking to elevated surfaces. Drinking coffee in my sunroom and absorbing the peace snow brings.
Edit: ripping fatties right now

I wanted to spread some positivity especially with so much animosity and negativity in this world. Today I’m thankful for family, the great thanksgiving dinner we will enjoy, and a job that provides for me as well as my family.
be thankful for the small things, as some people have nothing. Happy thanksgiving everyone and safe travels!

I knew things have been quiet, but how quiet? We have yet to make a storm thread this fall, and judging by the long range we are gonna be waiting awhile.

And just like that trees are mostly bare. Happened suddenly. I’m ready for the first winter system.

Give me a Christmas snowstorm and I’m happy. We are in strong Nino territory, so who knows.

One thing is for certain, it won’t be zzzzs for the next two weeks. Tons to track! Can’t wait to see the first meltdown.
