Long range looking bleak. Will the volcano eruption have any impact on this summer? Including a potential moderate nino first time since 2009, we may have a cool summer.

Had heavy sleet this morning, after touching 82 on Saturday. Another brief warmup and then another weekend cooldown.

On this date in 2014, a 3.2" snowfall blanketed Detroit in what was the final measurable snow of the historic 2013-14 season. Snowfall total finished at 94.9" at DTW with 96.2" imby. Toledo, OH received 1.0" of snow, capping their record smashing 86.3" season.
The most insane and harshest winter I’ve ever lived through. Thundersnow, Polar Vortex Blizzard, 11/17/13 tornado outbreak, multiple winter storms and record cold. 2013-2014 was legendary.

Another 80 in the bag, four straight days as such. Such an incredible stretch for mid April. An interesting summer taking shape.

As posted in the Chicago records thread...
ORD had a high temperature of 83° today, which broke the record high temperature for the date of 82°, which was set in 1887 and 1941.
impressive stretch of heat for the sub. This looming El Niño has piqued my interest. Has there ever been a triple dip La Niña into Strong El Niño? -
This weather is truly perfect. Back to back 80s here in the paign. If only every day could be like this.

It's like summer out there today. MLI made it to 77. Feels pretty warm with the light winds and warm sun.
Indeed. Very rare to have such warm temps this time of year with virtually no wind. It’s glorious

I love this time of year because everyone’s mood changes, and that first smell of lawn being cut never gets old. Everything just comes to life, literally.

One hell of a pattern potentially shaping up. Looking forward to all the Mets analysis in the coming days. The rantoul tornado last night was within miles of Gifford that was hit with the EF-3 on 11-17-13

Full sun was out for awhile here, temp has surged to 69 with a dew of 57. That 69 seems suspect, I have 65 here at work. Ingredients are really coming together.

Getting filtered sun here, stay safe today everyone.

Lots of yard work has commenced here, needless to say the spring fever is in full force. Gorgeous day with temps at 64, smash burgers on the flat top tonight. I’m so ready for outside activities.

Forgive my amateur question pertaining to severe wx, but could this be the highest threat to the region since 4/27/11?

74 sun and no wind. Just smoked a jalapeño cream cheese stuffed pork loin on the traeger, homemade pasta salad, cottage cheese and watermelon. We are fixing to feast. This weather is absolutely perfect.
