  1. Hit 74 earlier, the next 7 days look extremely mild, barring a dramatic shift to cooler than normal temperatures, this month is a lock to finish above normal.
  2. Very interested to see what this triple dip La Niña will bring, it’s been discussed several times here about 2000-2001 and the bitter cold and snowy December. Would be a dramatic shift from the weather we are having now and the extended looking mild, should we make a dramatic shift to cold next month. 1975 featured a warm November followed with a warm December, so perhaps we follow that analog? Would be par for the course the last 10 years to have a very mild December.
  3. you really live a peaceful off the grid esque life. I absolutely admire the way of life you all adapt to up there. I couldn’t imagine how peaceful it is reading a book, making a fire in the wood burning stove, eating hearty soup and watching the snow pile up by the feet.
  4. Weather setting the mood for Halloween. Currently foggy, drizzle and just a downright dreary day.
  5. Absolutely. Colors are really exploding here. I bought the new iPhone 14 pro, which lets you shoot 48mp in proraw, I’m hitting the park this weekend with my AirPods. Always a peaceful and relaxing time.
  6. Very very dry here. Interested to see what a 3rd year Nina delivers. I’m in the camp of a front loaded winter would be nice for a change of pace. I love snow for the holidays, and that’s been a rarity since the past decade.
  7. Top shelf weather continues for the foreseeable future, I can dig this. This weather is just a chefs kiss.
  8. October picking up where September left off, seasonable, sunny, no wind, and cool nights. Seriously, this weather has been damn near picture perfect.
  9. Given the tranquil weather have to think farmers should have harvest finished earlier than normal this year, virtually nothing on the horizon in the next 7 days.
  10. Thats the reason my aunt couldn’t leave her home in Cape Coral, jazzy the boxer wrapped in her soothing vest during the storm was a trooper.

  14. No news or clips coming out of Cape Coral, that’s never a good sign. My aunt is there and I’m increasingly worried for her, haven’t heard from her in over an hour. edit: she just finally texted, said it’s still going gangbusters
  15. Haven’t heard from my aunt in over an hour now.. virtually no news coming out of Cape Coral, looking at radar they are about to get walloped again.
  16. In a group chat with my aunt and family in Cape Coral.. she just texted “Here’s my address for insurance purposes just in case, I’m going to lose everything, this is really really bad”
  17. My aunt is one of them. She’s an ER nurse, she won’t abandon her house and her two dogs. In frequent contact with her right now.
  18. My Aunt who lives just west of Cape Coral is staying put.
  19. My aunt is just West of Cape Coral in Bokeelia/Matlacha.. visited there several times, would be a devastating hit.

  21. Ending September with just an incredible stretch of weather. The last six weeks have been filled with lots of sunshine, seasonal temps, and cool nights.
  22. Slowly but surely descending into my fall mood. August was truly just a gorgeous month filled with sunshine and cool nights. I’m ready for a batch of chili, football and no pumpkin flavored crap.
  23. August has been incredibly boring, September is 7 days away. Summer is gone in a flash.
