  1. Would be lovely to get a little fill in between these areas of precip as it heads our way
  2. Rates getting better fairly quickly under this band that spans back to Winchester. Guess I’d consider it on the heavier side of “light snow” approaching moderate
  3. Hey! It’s snowing hard enough that I don’t have to squint to see it! Woooohooo. Let’s see how temps react.
  4. Keep us posted!!! You’ll be a solid gauge for the mix line!
  5. Looks like decent returns beginning to make their way into Winchester. We’re getting close!
  6. Hard to fall asleep with flakes flying out there / snow imminent! Very Light snow has begun here with that band at the MD/PA border
  7. Alarm set for 6. Steady snow should be overhead with heavies inbound
  8. SREF 3z mean. 4-6 for DC/BAL 6-8 far NW, small stripe of 8-10 north of Winchester
  9. I work for Apple, so I’m not terribly mad about the free access hehe. In my opinion, it’s a great app and is usually pretty spot on.
  10. Thank you! Much appreciated. That’s actually a lot more data than I expected it to consider. Damn. That’s solid news for the immediate west and north Baltimore suburbs. Shows 8-12” for Baltimore. Gutsy
  11. Multiple stations showing a drop of 4+ degrees in a very short period in West Virginia under heavy snow banding. Man, if we can get back down to 20-22 as the heavies are overhead, It’s going to be a really fun morning. A few hours of nice accumulation looking more likely. Shame the precip didn’t move in at midnight.
  12. Wonder what model dark sky uses for its forecast algorithm. It’s an “up to the minute” kind of weather app. Forecast changes every hour - perhaps the HRRR? Now has 7-11” for my brother in ellicott city and 5-9” for my area. Odd considering every forecast until tonight had my area getting more (in line with guidance) I expect climo to help me out here in this setup but I’m definitely curious what models that app relies on for its data.
  13. 6z HRRR 24 hour QPF - 95 from dc to BAL 0.9-1.0
  14. Looks like 3-6 for Baltimore? Right about where 2-4 and 4-8 meet
  15. HRRR trends are definitely encouraging for @WxUSAF @Scraff @MDweatherman and co
  16. Hours 12-17 on the 3Z HRRR were fuuuuego
  17. Thanks man! Can’t wait to see your deck pic
  18. Can somebody who pays far more attention to detail than I do let me know how temps look currently versus what models were predicting?
  19. New LWX warnings: northern tier: 5-7” with up to 0.1” of ice DC to Baltimore: 3-5 with up to a 0.25” of ice meanwhile my folks in SE NY are under an advisory for 5-9 those bastards always get in on the goods too.
  20. Could you post a link potentially? Thanks
  21. I might be a little drunk, but I feel as though it’s going to be real hard for this storm to rot this type of cold outta here so quickly. Temps will drop a bit more too initially once the heavy wall makes its way to us. Bring it on!!!
  22. Gotta appreciate the Catonsville and mount airy mini jacks lol
  23. Can you post it kind sir
