    Idk about the rest of the region but everything IMBY seems to be moving about a month ahead of schedule. My Dogwood started turning at the end of August and has quite a bit of red already. There’s a lot of yellows starting to show in the woods behind me as well. This was the first summer in a long time where we didn’t have approximately 40 feet of rain so that may have something to do with it.

    I’d recommend you all get your flu shot ASAP. Our 5-year-old picked it up the first week of kindergarten. It’s gone though our whole house. Today our 3-year-old wound up in the ER from it, he tested positive for Flu A. This is a very bad flu, believe me. The school had warned everyone in their weekly newsletter that it was already circulating. We usually wait until October but it looks like it’s going to peak early.

    Exactly a year ago from today (June 23), I was at Breezy Point wearing a coat it was so chilly. We can do good weather in late June too.

    Expecting epic triple-digit heat in June is like expecting snow in December around here. June isn’t supposed to be super hot and often has nice weather. I think people forget that after some anomalous hot ones in the last decade.

    I’m convinced that, beginning around 2018, the entire volume of precipitation meant for the western half of the US is now permanently redirected to southern Maryland.

    Just FYI, I’m gonna go ahead and post future obs for the lunar eclipse Sunday night (and while we’re at it, for every future eclipse here). “Thick stratus clouds. Thickest cloud base ever.”

    I’ve observed this for many years in the mid-Atlantic: Wednesday’s are always the nicest weather days and weekends always suck. That’s why I started putting in for Wednesday’s off- works every time.

    3-day total was 1.66" 47 and running the heater on Mother's Day. You know we'll go straight to 90's in two weeks. It's very difficult for this region to do sunny and 60's/70's with calm winds (unless it's in winter ).

    @Roger Smith I'm not sure what you mean by dead links, but I remember I did have to delete a bunch of images stored in my account awhile back, because I was running out of space. Anyway, I have a copy saved on my PC so I attached it. Showme didn't win in 2019 though- tplbge did. You came in last.

    December: F January: A+ February: F March: F I'll give it a B overall because January was so epic. Every other month was a shutout though. January had: -Biggest snow IMBY since HECS 2016, and 2nd biggest snowfall since I moved here -Snowiest month ever IMBY -First time since March 2014 that I had two WSW events in one month -Sustained cold and snowcover for nearly the entire month
