  1. I’m not liking the GFS, that looks like an Isaias repeat IMBY. That should change after recon hopefully.
  2. …and just like that, the GFS has a tropical event for SoMD next week.
  3. I still can’t believe they didn’t retire Isaias- that’s almost as bad as Gordon 1994. Yet they retired a turd like Joaquin. I bet they were out of “I” names.
  4. ^Gamestop/AMC/Dogecoin worked out well I guess
  5. I had to wear a jacket while mowing, what an amazing June morning. Now if we could just carry this over into a July 2009/2014 repeat…
  6. June can often deliver some of the best weather around here.
  7. I’m at Breezy Point, there’s a lot of cicada wings washed on shore.
  8. Drove up to Glen Burnie today to see them- southern edge starts around Lothian, first deathband was in Harwood- about a dozen splattered on the windshield. One hitched a ride for several miles and flew off unharmed. Glen Burnie was really loud around the woods, lots of flyers but not as many as 2004 IMHO We all enjoyed seeing them one last time though.
  9. Pretty good storm here- the Southern MD rain magnet that was installed in 2018 is still operational.
  10. Calvert doesn't get II anymore either My dad lives in Delta, PA, and doesn't have any either- he's right within the border of this map. I think the coverage is shrinking.
  11. Heading back up with the family to see them one last time this Saturday, hopefully I don't miss the peak.
  12. You’d lose your mind with my kids then.
  13. The first 13 seconds of this keeps looping in my head over and over while I watch the meme stock tickers
  14. We're expecting another baby boy in early October, and just found out the name we had picked is actually on the hurricane names list this year. It's pretty far down the list so it's possible to be a hit here right around that time.
  15. Slightly off-topic, but NHC should just officially move the Atlantic season start from June 1 to May 15 to match the Pacific. Seems like every year has a May system now. I don't know if there's a reason for this- climate change or just some multi-decade oscillation?
  16. I think BWI got a record lowest max? 57 for the high today vs 58 record in 1915?
  17. It’s been great weather for planting a tree actually- ground is soaked and easy to dig, temperature feels a lot more comfortable than yesterday (when I actually needed a hat and gloves!). I’ll take upper 50’s and drizzle vs planting in upper 80’s and sun anytime.
  18. I've gotten 2.21" of drought rain from this system so far. Still drizzling, though it's not on radar.
  19. Same ol' pattern reemerging. 1.7" since yesterday and still raining hard.
  20. It already flipped back tonight IMBY. Even 2018 had that 2-week dry spell in early July in between the deluges. I think droughts are impossible in the Mid-Atlantic in the new normal.
  21. Heard there was a dry slot Monday as we transitioned from WAA to Coastal Cicadas.
