    Huh. The all-day snow flurries are finally starting to overcome all of the residual salt on our road. Kinda glad I haven't shoveled the sidewalk yet since we're not quite done yet. What a lovely day to be working from home.

    Well this'll be the third time this year I'll have to go out and scrape a half an inch of snow off the sidewalk. I guess I can't complain too much, since we still had some little snow piles here and there, so this is technically snow-on-snow. Woo!

    Yup. Already had to shore up the trashcans from blowing over. Speaking of, we're supposed to bag all of our recyclables, which we do, but our one neighbor down the way does not. So I usually end up with a bunch of empty soda cans and water bottles in my front yard when there's a big blow on trash night. I've been sorely tempted to bag it all up and dump it back on his lawn, but perhaps age has granted me the wisdom to know that such thoughts are better left enjoyed in my mind, rather than causing unnecessary drama in my cul-de-sac. Or perhaps not. We shall see. FWIW, it's supposed to be even windier tomorrow somehow. I'm here for it! LOVE this weather (as long as I'm not out working in it!)

    Finally starting to see the high cirrus ahead of the storm. Just now starting to become overcast. I know the precip isn't supposed to start until morning but it's nice to see.

    We just got a fluff squall here, easily dumped almost an inch in like 15 minutes and then it was gone.

    The barest hint of whiff of a trace of a coating on unpaved surfaces over here. It was a joy to watch it come down all day.

    Yeah I should have mentioned that it's not the flight I'm worried about. She's driving from Phoenixville during what could be the first real snow any of us have seen in a while. You know how it goes.

    Wouldn't you know it, a close friend of mine just booked a flight out of Allentown (to Florida) for Monday at 4pm. I really wish she would have asked me first, or at least checked the weather. Here I was, all hyped to track this storm, and now I'm just worried.

    Ok. So. I've been a winter weather enthusiast for a pretty long while now. I'm familiar with Kuchera, but what's this new "Cobb" thing everyone's suddenly on about? I don't recall anyone mentioning it before now.

    Yeah that one started out really pretty, and at least we got snow TV most of the day before the rain started. I think we have a couple of slushy inches by the end of it.

    Interesting to absolutely nobody but me, our forecast temps were supposed to hit 39°F today, but only barely reached 33. We were also forecasted sunshine from 10am until sunset, but the sun only finally peaked out around 3pm. I, for one, was happy to have a mostly cloudy day, as I love these kinds of days. And we still have the odd patch of snow on the ground from a couple days ago. Happy boxing day, everyone. I'm interested to see how tomorrow goes.

    Did not have "spring-type thunderstorm knocking out power to my hotel in November" on my bingo card. Whelp... Flashy-flash! Thunderboom! Aaaand there goes the power. I'm in Newark, DE for work, and it's 11/20. But hey, at least it's freaking RAINING, finally??? So I guess we've all got that going for us, which is nice.
