    There is no way it gets to 120 with 40DP's here so it we get 120 with our 70 Dp's we are screwed.

    I am resigned to it getting hot but its so strong/close than its hot and dry into mid week which is not my hope.

    Lot's of crazy highs but in contradiction with the HIA talk the last few days, MDT cooled down well in Feb 2017. 75 and 37. Summer on the front, winter on the back.

    Looks like the record Max Low for Met winter at MDT is 59 on 1/8/98. Apologies if that was already mentioned. I skimmed through some posts to catch up. What is surprising to me about this is that it has never stayed 60 or above one night. We have had so many anomalous warm periods the last few years I thought maybe it did it once. The highest low in Feb is 51 which is actually not all that warm.

    With our modern air conditioning systems, hot or cold, that keep us comfortable, I cannot imagine how good that felt in 1906. A day with no smoke smell filling the house.

    That low of 59 is incredible. The low is a double digit depart of the normal high.

    MDT recorded a 26 degree positive departure that day. Do not have departure stats but that is a healthy one.

    We could set up a weather station then put a stove beside it boiling water and proudly report our temps. Technically they would be correct :-).

    There are several people on here whole routinely come back with "I received this much on this date" comments so I feel like quite a few are keeping records in some manner.

    I agree. This June, though coming with some very comfortable days, has been much warmer than last. We already have 6 90 degree days and may get into double digits for 90's before the month is over. And the low temps last June were much more comfortable overall than this June.

    I doubt KPIT hits 90 out your way tomorrow but would not be surprising to see a lot of local Wunderground temps get it over your way.

    Yea, I was speaking of that super trough at 0Z. EC did pull back from that and its just a "trough" now but still best case I think out of the 3. GFS and CMC have different plans. 6Z GFS high at MDT, for July 4th, was upper 60's to 70 due to rain/clouds.

    Still highs in the 70's and 80's, man. Just stops the heat wave. In that depiction, Tim may stay cool but not us as much.

    Will be going into the heat wave with MDT being about 1.8 or so above normal for the month so June is going to end quite a bit above normal...maybe over 3 or even 4.

    I just stopped to look closer at the Miami area building that collapsed. The pics I saw this AM looked like a small portion but just saw a security video and two whole sections went down. Its a terrible tragedy. Have to think hundreds are gone including dozens of animal friends. Scary. Had to say something to mention prayers for them.

    Its is quite delightful out here right now. Been a great two days of weather. Eastern PA gets another windows open and fans night with low to mid 50's and maybe an upper 40's. Last one for a bit though.

    DP's back down around 50. When I saw you post I went looking to see if, miraculously, that puppy could spin up a July 540 thickness line over us but no such luck.

    Its a rare day that I come away from a Euro run and feel good about what it is showing. Trough is aiming at your house and telling your A/C to take a break.

    Good call early on in the run. Euro should be a fan favorite. Cuts the heatwave in half, lessens its intensity, then provides water relief followed by a very Decent Sat-Mon. @sauss06 will approve. He gets his near 80 and dry for most of the 4th weekend even if you extrapolate it out a bit. A huge improvement from 0Z in my book.

    Though not as extreme by about 5 degrees, the EC supports it's GFS brother with Mid to Upper 110's in the Palouse.
