  1. They raised tonight's low temps by 6-8 degrees!
  2. Neighbors already dragging out the grass watering equipment over here. Does not take long, with June sun, to see the grass going brown.
  3. Yep and lows in the 40's for the LSV Sunday night. Summer takes one on the chops.
  4. They are creeping north over me and I think a decent length Radar loop shows them moving slightly north in Lancaster as well.
  5. You reminded me on one thing that was not normal with meals in Florida. Ate at two chain restaurants and two local. Both the chains were serving a reduced offering shown on a throw away menu. I would say the menus were about 50-60% of what they would usually have.
  6. Thanks. My wife did not mention it and I missed it. I feel like it is muggier here than it was in Florida. It was hot down there but when I got off the plane at BWI it felt like a sauna.
  7. I just got back from Florida and except the the airport, which was an eerie ghost town, life is back to normal down there. I ate inside a restaurant 4 times in 3 days. Some had some seats closed off but some did not and were at 100 percent capacity with no masks on patrons and servers wearing masks haphazardly such as under their chin. Probably a preview of what is coming here over the next few weeks. Ironically cases are at their highest in Florida since mid April. Probably some extra testing there but also the virus is spreading rapidly again down there. Between this and Brazil's troubles I think the hope that heat stops the virus is fading fast. The airports (BWI and MCO) were like a nightmare. There were times when I was the only person within 1000 feet distance. My one flight was only about 20% full.
  8. GFS says Open the windows and enjoy the weather tonight then maybe a little heater action tomorrow night with 30'sw over a large swatch of PA. GFS has been doing better with low temps. Check out that Philly heat Island.
  9. We are sitting at 80/73 so not comfortable out.
  10. We have scrambled from the mid 60's back up to 80. Ouch.
  11. 22 degree temp drop behind storms. 86 down to 64...6 degrees lower than our overnight low.
  12. Pretty nasty here. That line is evolving quite well....looks Hrrr like with some extra ooomph.
  13. The HRRR has a somewhat less than impressive line start small in the Western LSV then expand a bit north as it moves further east. There are some storms in Eastern Cumberland now.
  14. 70 was the low last night...with a 69 DP. Who needs to travel to Florida when Florida can come to you?
  15. The beat goes on with the GFS being too cold.
  16. Wind driven drizzle this AM. Nice slow watering fro the plants and grass. A balmy and humid 72 already.
  17. 540 line down to near MDT at 7AM Monday morning on the latest GFS with the first day of June featuring copious amounts of lows in the 30's over much of the North and West parts of the state.
  18. Looks like for PA most are normal right now with a few near the Mason-Dixon being above. Quite a few Above in N/E PA. Western VA and NC are in a more dire situation.
  19. I think we could see some flooding in Western PA down through Western VA.
  20. Looks like that tropical deluge is going to pass to the west of the LSV now (Thursday AM). Edit just saw this system now has a name. Tropical Storm Bertha.
