Hey, I know you said the HRRR over does your area a lot but over here it is hinting at a 100 for MDT today. I think I saw 97 and 98 on two different runs. Has you mid 90's.
Great, thanks. So probable number 3 hottest all time. 1943 is almost surely out of reach. That list goes back to 1888 and 6 of them are from the last 3 decades.
Some have but MDT has not. Which brings into question all their records again. The lowest temp they recorded was 53. But I agree its been a month of extremes for those of us with the colder nights...see if Jones wants to track pre 80 June's and see where it ranks. As of now it will probably rank as the second hottest June since 1980 (1994) unless the departures are so extreme the next two days that it makes up 1.3 degrees and passes 1994 to become the hottest.
96 at MDT yesterday and a good chance it breaks 90 the final two days of June. Will give them 1/3 of the days in the month at a 90 or higher. We have been talking about heat waves. The whole month has been an on and off one. May we never get a June this hot again (unlikely but can hope).
That has been the vein of the PBP's the last few days. When does the trough carve out and move over us. Trend has been for it to stay to our west more and more.
Yea, that is too much over a shortish time frame. The ULL low on the new EC is even slower (as Losetoa6 said) and dug more so it is now under us and puts us in the path of big rains as impulses come at us from the S/W Fri-Sun.
I assumed as such but putting it in writing made me follow it. I was never a believer in it but when I looked into a few weeks ago it did great. With that said it actually rained quite a bit today not far to your south in the mid afternoon but that was not Future radar's time slot for the rain so no credit there. LOL. Parts of/near Pine Grove Furnace park had over 1" today.
I went back 20 more years to 1980 and 1994 is a major competitor to holding off this June as the hottest ever at MDT. May need @Jns2183 to see if he has stats back father sans me going through them one at a time. 1994 was 3.7 above normal which is probably more than 2021 will end up and as there are only 3 days left to skew it up. So guessing 2021 will end up being top 5 but not hottest June ever. June 9.1994 had a high of 80 and a low of 48 which is a big split for these parts.
Future radar lights you up in the 8-10PM time frame. I am not silly enough to know it can be counted on that much but if there is not quite a bit of shower activity on the East Shore a bit later tonight I am not hitting the future radar link ever again.
End result for Sunday is still mainly dry and 80ish on the Euro. Saturday was well below normal. Not too shabby. Though the trough was not as optimal it still moved far enough east.
