I edited the original post just as you were posting. The article I read must have been trying to suggest something else now that I think of it. As there had to be other gameless days. Team USA's game was cancelled as well.
Did not confirm its validity but I read this AM that yesterday was the first day there was no NBA, NHL, MLB or NFL Games being played since July 6, 1983! Wonder if they are skipping 2020 with that stat?
Going by the book, after Saturday night some people may not see rain again until August per the GFS and Saturday night is not a guarantee. Have to hope it is wrong for everyone's sake but congrats and hope Sunday works out for you.
I had one in all of my Florida locations. You could not grow the local grass, St Augustine, without one. They have periods down there where it can go dry for weeks especially outside summer proper. It is expensive as all get out to operate if you had a decent sized yard. I had the zones set to go 3 times a week for 45 min each zone and it cost about $200/MO. But good idea regardless. Never met anyone up here that has one.
No one here has an issue tossing the CMC so its gone. I did get to look at the early GFS panels and disappointed to see that big 'ole mostly dry spot over the LSV for this weekend.
That cell or group of cells melted like the ones that really frustrated me down this way earlier this week. Harrisburg looked a sure bet to get walloped. Western Cumberland County is getting a fresh cup of mostly sunny dumped on them right now.
@TimB84, have not had a chance to look at the GFS but too a quick look at the CMC on my phone. The Sat in 9-10 days went from a near high of 80 at MDT to pushing 100.
That line died so fast coming into Dauphin county it appeared like it was allergic to the susky. In N Cumberland county I bet it was close to getting warned.
