  1. All this sports talk hiding the fact that the Capital Area could score again shortly. Pillow took it on the chops as well.
  2. @TimB84, that sounds like Mike Breen announcing. Does Mike do every sport there is?
  3. As a fan of the Mav's, Cap's and UVA Cav's (BkBall) and their hapless playoff appearances coming into the 2010's, I would say it can all change for the positive very quickly. This logo went from representing infamy to representing resilience for UVA. UVA should have taken UMBC more seriously with a logo like that. Nothing good can come of dealing with a dog that is as unhappy looking as that one.
  4. Oh I am sure it does. Was not sure how it would the pop up showers though.
  5. You can only sing We are family so long before it starts to hurt.
  6. We are at the age now where our wisdom and age combined make us the masters. We are at the top of our game. I was worried the smoke may limit the sun's ability to help fire convection this afternoon but if anything it is more vigorous at this point that I thought today's slim pickings day would be.
  7. It is really hazy over here now. A blanket of white in the sky.
  8. Thanks. Yard wise, we all will by Sunday if it does not rain until then. That sun will bake the moisture out of the soil in just 2-3 days time.
  9. Would be nice. One uptake from the 12Z runs is that Wed looks like a real minimal rain chance at this point.
  10. Several cells firing up between Williamsport and Harrisburg. Moving almost due south. A tinge East of South.
  11. Yea, mowers are away here unfortunately. Much of the established grass is now brown and dormant (but no dirt spots yet, trying to get it into winter and not lose more yard). I spend an hour each day watering the grass that was replanted this spring and I am keeping that going. Not going to replant again next spring... just have to take the hit on the water bill.
  12. Getting the 2" on, on Saturday, all at once was basically the same as just getting .5" as far as the grass is concerned. It's going to grow a bit then be crunchy by Wed over here.
  13. The one change it made, could be gone in 5 hours, was holding off the ridging and bit more/longer and having almost a secondary trough over us early next week...helps keep the 90's well out into the future.
  14. Early Nooners GFS returns. 1) LSV gets a light refresh of rain this evening into tomorrow, 2) Very comfortable mornings Thur, Fri and Sat and highs in the low 80's Wed-Fri. 3) Overall a very dry week. Verbatim, some in the LSV may stay in the 60's on Sunday via rain (finally).
  15. There were several discussions on the intrawebs about what she was actually doing so I am glad we settled that and Canderson is off the hook for posting what we have determined is not an X-Rated gif. LOL.
  16. Sunny and 74 in the 'Ville. Pretty dandy for approaching lunch on July 19th. Hrrr says we at least need to peak at the radar late this afternoon.
  17. Maybe that is what she was doing with her hands? Asking Training to turn it up so she could hear the alerts.
  18. Well that guarantees Voyager never lives in Pitt.
  19. I bet it sucks being the head life guard but someone had to do it!
  20. Two days in 2000, July 19th and July 26th, stayed at 69. July 3, 1982 had a very rare 5 Heating Degree days to go along with it.
  21. Yea, 85...90....no big difference. 97, 98, 99....too hot.
