  1. Some areas west of Millersburg are over 3" and they might not be done. Probably no way at all to check when the last time an area had a forecast of Sunny and ended up with 3" of rain.
  2. The Pillow cells are moving or reforming as much west as south at this point. Carlisle in sight now.
  3. Flood Advisory National Weather Service State College PA 415 PM EDT Mon Jul 19 2021 PAC041-043-099-192215- /O.NEW.KCTP.FA.Y.0064.210719T2015Z-210719T2215Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Cumberland PA-Dauphin PA-Perry PA- 415 PM EDT Mon Jul 19 2021 The National Weather Service in State College has issued a * Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for... 4. A visual representation of CTP trying to keep up with the forecast changes this afternoon. Allow Gate to stand for Zone Change.
  5. Don't lose any sleep over it! Looks like Pillow may push Training's topic over the 100 level.
  6. That one near you really should be warned. It is fairly large and could be some flash flooding in poor drainage areas.
  7. Over here the smoke has made a huge difference at this point. It is solidly "overcast" and bordering on getting a bit dark. Going to end up the day below normal with a high of 82. You just got yourself an air quality alert. NWS also changed your zone to 60% chance of storms.
  8. And there is another cluster of cells up near Pillow heading down 11/15. Those cells in Lock Haven have my name written on them if they can survive for 3 hours. LOL. I just had a friend in Camp Hill send me a picture of the NWS logo and his middle finger pointing at it. Monday softball is cancelled for him.
  9. Last radar frame showed it going due south with no east tinge at all so it could skip by to your west. It was showing some east movement the previous few frames.
  10. A training line of cells is aimed right at you if it survives. This is exponentially more than I thought today would see at this point. I thought a few would see .25" type totals. Radar is lite up from NY down to the Northern LSV. Should probably be some weather statements out.
  11. I have to say I would smile if MDT ends up with over 1" of qpf today.
  12. That is because your NWS forecast says Sunny. If you had been watching here you would have known :-). Looks to be an active afternoon for the Susq Valley area.
  13. That cell growing near Pillow could live down to your area.
  14. All this sports talk hiding the fact that the Capital Area could score again shortly. Pillow took it on the chops as well.
  15. @TimB84, that sounds like Mike Breen announcing. Does Mike do every sport there is?
  16. As a fan of the Mav's, Cap's and UVA Cav's (BkBall) and their hapless playoff appearances coming into the 2010's, I would say it can all change for the positive very quickly. This logo went from representing infamy to representing resilience for UVA. UVA should have taken UMBC more seriously with a logo like that. Nothing good can come of dealing with a dog that is as unhappy looking as that one.
  17. Oh I am sure it does. Was not sure how it would the pop up showers though.
  18. You can only sing We are family so long before it starts to hurt.
  19. We are at the age now where our wisdom and age combined make us the masters. We are at the top of our game. I was worried the smoke may limit the sun's ability to help fire convection this afternoon but if anything it is more vigorous at this point that I thought today's slim pickings day would be.
  20. It is really hazy over here now. A blanket of white in the sky.
  21. Thanks. Yard wise, we all will by Sunday if it does not rain until then. That sun will bake the moisture out of the soil in just 2-3 days time.
  22. Would be nice. One uptake from the 12Z runs is that Wed looks like a real minimal rain chance at this point.
  23. Several cells firing up between Williamsport and Harrisburg. Moving almost due south. A tinge East of South.
  24. Yea, mowers are away here unfortunately. Much of the established grass is now brown and dormant (but no dirt spots yet, trying to get it into winter and not lose more yard). I spend an hour each day watering the grass that was replanted this spring and I am keeping that going. Not going to replant again next spring... just have to take the hit on the water bill.
