  1. Early again. Just walked outside and am not particularly liking the look of the scattered cloud cover. Its got that "fair" look to it with not a ton of development going on.
  2. Not optimal having that trough up in the N/W.
  3. Have not done a temp update in a while but 82 at 11. Definitely have a shot at low 90's if the sun stays out.
  4. The NWS AFD was definitely down with tomorrow. They suggested the shortwave today was weakening. I hope you right though with less severe and more showers.
  5. It may tough with all the folks saying he should not enter the locker room again (Magic especially) but positive for you guys if you pull it off. He is an all star talent.
  6. I am trying to soften the market for him so the Mav's can swing a deal and bring him to big D.
  7. And the previous Summer was a combo Spring/Summer thread with only 40 pages. And with apologies to @CarlislePaWx, we have not even spoken much about the Australia win over the USA after Canderson brought it up. After looking at the Aussie roster, they have a lot of NBA talent so not really that big of an upset. Australia is missing Ben Simmons though. If Ben had played the US may have had a better shot with Hack-a-Ben tactics.
  8. I totally agree with your assertion. You keep good records and for your own knowledge, yours trump MDT and the HIA.
  9. Yea, that is what it was looking like. Really leads to decent summer temps albeit dry. All 3 of GFS, CMC and Euro were not wanting to spit out much qpf though Euro was at least close to normal.
  10. Yes, West is bad for those that want normal temps. So far July has been almost exactly normal at MDT.
  11. LOL, I figured and understood. Having some fun. But 10 years from now MDT will be what stands for all of us when others look from afar. My only closer location is HGR but it is not looked at as being as official as MDT for some reason. No full time Met's in place I guess.
  12. I often wondered if one typed in that size and font would readers just take it as gospel. The HRRR is not at all feeling good about LSV rains today.
  13. @Itstrainingtime seemed a bit peeved at his being represented by MDT yesterday so I think some discussion has been ongoing to find a more neutral site. Pillow was up for it but I think everyone was going to sleep on it.
  14. That is a wet looking PA map as a whole. As we stated a few days ago, it can be very misleading both up or down. MDT has received about 3" more than the Dauphin county number shows.
  15. I just scanned the GFS and that ridge really is displaced East. A bit surprised we are so dry but that is not the look of heat like you said. An average looking depiction temp wise. With that said, I have a bit less confidence in the MR and LR of the GFS right now. Really flopping more, IMO, than the last couple months of solid work it has done.
  16. When the folks who are saturated dry out a bit, I would really like to see a low sweep under us and bring a stratiformer. Chattanooga Choo Choo Summer Style.
  17. Some areas to your west have had less than 1/3" of any inch in the 3 days. Cannot see how well they are doing for the month though.
  18. Yea, I am not complaining just stating. Yesterday was the most frustrating though. The area that Loseto got over 2" on missed me by a few miles....it followed the mountain chain. Definitely did well this winter. But as @TimB84 said, the MR and LR models look precariously dry. The GFS in particular. If the GFS came to light, everyone here would be quickly complaining about dry again going into August so lets hope not. Even Marysville would be cutting back their mowing. One of the driest GFS 384 total accum maps I have ever seen for around here. But as we know it does not do well with convection.
  19. Its getting down to just a few who are not doing well. Its the same every summer on my side of the mountain. You have an area just to your west that is equally dry the last 3 days. Some areas in York and Lancaster county have also been practically shut out as well.
  20. Yes, this part of it is pretty depressing. I just checked my local USGS water location and we are back down to our driest point ever outside of last summer. But less heat will be helpful. CMC was also fairly cool/normal.
  21. That storm sliding into Adams is raining a ton. Lots of lightning as well. Just missed me.
  22. Still missing the 3 guys in the finals but apparently they are indeed not a "team" .
  23. 10pm on the dot and here come the pop up cells.
  24. Amazing this article comes out today. https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/12/weather/climate-change-mass-casualty-psychology/index.html
  25. Yea, I never imagined it was going to die. Actually posted that I was wondering if I would get an inch and I usually never assume. It got me this time. Meso like you said and simple storm motion. Seems it's either flooding or not enough rain depending on area.
