Its getting down to just a few who are not doing well. Its the same every summer on my side of the mountain. You have an area just to your west that is equally dry the last 3 days. Some areas in York and Lancaster county have also been practically shut out as well.
Yes, this part of it is pretty depressing. I just checked my local USGS water location and we are back down to our driest point ever outside of last summer. But less heat will be helpful. CMC was also fairly cool/normal.
Yea, I never imagined it was going to die. Actually posted that I was wondering if I would get an inch and I usually never assume. It got me this time. Meso like you said and simple storm motion. Seems it's either flooding or not enough rain depending on area.
Missed opportunity for us today. We were lined up and primed but the energy all spilled north and fired up the storms there. We went from the great look below (with a N/E trajectory) to nothing within a few frames. Waynesboro proper had .35" before it folded. Just 3 miles east had .10 and nothing 3 miles further east.
For some reason that name shows up on the wgal radar view. My love for animals made me gravitate to it though pillow is still more unique. I assume it is a very small town?
More than likely the rain I was going to get is energizing areas to the north. The entire area that was once primed for heavy rain to my south is dissolving and shrinking.
Time for obligatory "if MDT had 5.9" in first half of January" post. LOL.
@Cashtown_Coop, aleet, aleet. May soon be time to get those people with mini lightning rods headed for the club. Getting might gray over here.
That map only went out to Friday so missed some of your earlier rain. You are over 2" behind MDT! LOL. MDT has had more rain this month than many areas of Adams and Franklin have had for 2-3 months.
