    GFS reading just downright sucks right now from Texas up into Canada. Will it be 100 or 110 today.

    Actually they just extended that, I forgot. No Blue Jays game for you. New date is Aug 21 for now.

    There is still snow up in Canada but a bit of a drive.

    Biggest change from 0Z is next weekend into the following week. Not ridge dominated but we lose the cooling trough it had there before. But yes lots of pleasant nights on the GFS. It sends any heat wave concerns into August (if ever).

    Good idea in case someone kicks sand in it. Only a buck or two lost instead of 5 or 6 bucks.

    MDT never gets above 91 the next 10 days as the trough does just enough to keep the heat blanket away.

    With the winds blowing from the west it may be warm but not as warm as the HIA. I see the trough poking down to save us for Thursday I believe. Wed was a bit hot. (Edit-Thursday still hot at the beach being east of the front.)

    Not going back to look now but think the 6Z GFS had a blob of 100's just south of us. But it was odd in that it was very localized.

    GFS is rolling. Big watch on whether it will be 100+ degrees or under 80 next week around this time. The GFS has offered both options the last 24-36 hours.

    My A/C came on right about when you wrote that. off again now. I can feel my wallet getting heavier by the second.

    In the winter some here check the 0Z GFS and Euro while lying on their pillow with a West Coast sporting event on in the background. Speaking of sports it looks like the Olympics will at least get started so the US Men's BkBall team has a big matchup with France. France has two NBA All Star Level Players. Vive Le Upset Alert?

    It is definitely still smoky above and some at the surface here. Only 68 at this point. Filtered sun fighting the smoke. Do not think A/C has turned on yet today...that is a miracle in its own right.

    First its spending the whole weekend at the pool and not in here and now this.

    are our rain chances sunday dwindling? If anything I think they are a bit better than a day or two. Not a severe person myself so not confident in making that opinion but I think there is a good chance of at least some seeing rain on Sunday. The Globals all show decent coverage.
