  1. Precip blowing up way south of us....not trying to escape at all.
  2. The next time I am in the market for a job, you are going to be my front man to juice up the interviewers. "Bubbler86 may not like coming in on Monday's but man this past Monday was his best in weeks."
  3. I did not feel like typing 2-4.5" inches but yes, I assumed I would hear this after I posted. LOL
  4. 2-4" for you and I plus anything after that map though did not look like much more (Kuch)
  5. It backed down for its escape...but not great out here.
  6. You took that better than I thought. I was ready for a lesson in how to use the Nam and a mock for bringing up the Icon. if the Icon show snow, it sure does get posted a lot though! (Not necessarily you, the board as a whole).
  7. So now it is the Euro, 100+ hour Nam and Icon vs. Blizz. I know what he is going to say. LOL
  8. Hopefully Blizz is passed out and can sleep it off until the 18Z Euro comes out.
  9. Glad to see the MA crew finally understanding the Euro control of the EPS is the lower resolution OP Euro. At least in what I read on the page from the group that manages it.
  10. I will give you one. I do not want gramps the sock to complain I am cherry picking models.
  11. You are in no condition to throw out numbers :-)
  12. There has been one winter since I came back where there was snow on the ground for about a 2-3 weeks....I do not keep records like you but will look at MDT and probably remember when I have a chance.
  13. It is definitely a need the pieces to fall into place situation. If you watch the last couple GFS's the low seems to jump west at one point as it tries to escape and redevelops. But, the totals we are seeing could be expanded on if the low were to stay closer to the coast earlier on though the MA crew will not approve.
  14. GFS Kuch is 6-10 on Pivotal for the post MLK storm...for the Eastern 2/3 of PA.
  15. I think the GFS was close to getting away though ala Icon.
  16. It still intensifies offshore (icon) and heads to our North East which is needed vs. out into the open Atlantic.
  17. Still some active flood warnings this AM with more rain on the way...also MDT now sits at 6.4AN for the month with the midnight highs really adding up the numbers. We are 1/3 through January and have not had 1 day stay below freezing at MDT with the all around lowest temp being 24. In a vacuum that is really warm though the cold air on the way should start to finally make it feel like winter. The 19.5 departure yesterday was the ~58th highest departure of any day in the over 8776 days since 1.1.2000. No days in last years Jan torch had that high of a departure. Flood Warning Flood Statement National Weather Service State College PA 358 AM EST Thu Jan 11 2024 ...The Flood Warning continues for the following creeks in Pennsylvania... Swatara Creek near Hershey affecting Dauphin and Lebanon Counties. Conodoguinet Creek near Hogestown affecting Cumberland County. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Pennsylvania... Swatara Creek above Middletown affecting Dauphin County. ...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following creeks in Pennsylvania... Yellow Breeches Creek near Camp Hill affecting York and Cumberland Counties. Swatara Creek at Harper Tavern affecting Schuylkill and Lebanon Counties.
  18. Old Man on the Mountain/Grandpa Simpsons posts are very socky. Seems he is the alter ego of another poster who has a beef.
  19. The Meso's are promising some sun your way today and Sat.
  20. Mild 35 here this AM but the GFS is not at all mild in the MR and getting a bit colder LR than what it was showing before though not a lot of pattern support on the ensembles for the LR...seems some real winter cold is on our doorsteps. As long as it keeps the up top cold source available, we have a shot at something special here as to snow. Starting Jan 14th, MDT does not go above freezing for 10 days. Cannot count on 2M temps on a LR model to be right but can probably count on it being cold for a decent period...something we have not had in quite a while around here.
  21. UK looks like it was too far west for South PA. Seems dubious.
