My interpretation, subject to be totally wrong, where we had a piece of energy working to phase/pull back the first piece before, it is now buried in the gulf and the first vort is free to go....as I said a week ago I also worry about this scenario in not setting up a 50/50 low for us. If the EC lets that first vort fully escape and go too far East, it sets up a faster relax period in mid to late Jan.

Agreed. We did have it last year around Christmas and now everyone talks about that time as if it was the worst in the history of the world. Ha.

So this site did it to me again. That is 0Z but it is on the 12Z Map page. Damn it, not using them anymore. They are ahead on releasing sometimes, but I have to check each map now. Sorry.

We had that situation in Philly a couple times (not football, indoor pro) and they postponed the games because non-essential travel was banned....and they thought leaving the games on to play would encourage people to break the law. Not playoffs though.

IMO, they should reschedule if that happens. Both for the sanctity of the game and for the fans. They would probably make it illegal to be on the roads.

The 1-3.5" GFS is fine but this period is for big dog hunting.

It finally forms another low on Wed with some post frontal type snows...mostly south of us though.

I think (just my opinion) this has gone from what was a great looking for a sweeping low from the Southeast (what we saw days ago) to a timing nightmare of needing up to 3 pieces of energy now to time everything right to either form or have a low climb the coast. It may do it at 18Z. This not showing it is not a big deal IMO but real hard to see any consensus from this type of situation as to the next few days.

No real phase, no coast climb. A total miss it appears.
