  1. Even West of here. Just .1" at Krou. Scattered showers in the LSV right now and a chance of some later today otherwise back to mostly dry until Friday. Nice Labor Day though. Unless I get lucky today, I will be rolling with less than 1" over about 30 days which is a top 5 dry period since I have been back in 2018. A severe dry period snuck up on some of us.
  2. Another flood warning/watch failure. It is almost like JB is making the summer calls now.
  3. That impressive line to the west is dying out faster than WVU's NCAA Championship hopes.
  4. The Rouzerville/Pen Mar area has a ban on Weather Bell snow maps. We accept only Pivotal or Tropical Tidbits (TT only when atmosphere is cold enough for snow through the whole event.) We will accept weather.us for some foreign weather models.
  5. Or Blizz can make a trip to Franklin County with some sweet Marysville Clear Crude.
  6. This will be at least my 10th flood watch like statement this summer...will the last day of summer finally score? 0-9ish so far.
  7. The @paweather 540 line is touching PA. Early Sept Continues to look like early fall bonanza.
  8. MDT's current high temp today of 73 or 74 will go a long toward holding on to the BN Depart for Aug.
  9. I waved but I do not think you saw me being that I am 15 miles away.
  10. I bought a generac just so I could keep in communication with the board...so not power issues but did go to sleep early. Wet and 65 this AM. I did hear it pouring last night. Have not walked out to the gauge yet to compare to digital.
  11. WGAL 8 just had Heagy's Produce on the Newscast. https://www.facebook.com/heagyspumpkinsandproduce/ They complained that the Great Drought of 2024 caused them to have to truck in water and the costs of pumpkins and mums will be up due to that....but at the end of the day it will not be "too bad". The latest HRRR says instead of 2-4", I will be watering all weekend.
  12. Yep, three last 3 weeks of August (so far) have been brutal drought wise.
  13. Carlisle just received more rain in the last 15-30 min than I have in 3 weeks.
  14. @Blizzard of 93 if we bag the 2-4" that the HRRR is promising over the next 24 hours the hose goes away for the season and year.
  15. Western WV moves to D4. These are Western US like numbers out there. The first D4 in the history of WV. Large area of D2 in the Laurels. Northeast Drought Summary Northern parts of the Northeast received half an inch or more of rain this week while the rest of the region received little to no rain. Weekly temperatures averaged near normal in Maine to 5 to 8 degrees cooler than normal in West Virginia and Delaware. The spot of abnormal dryness in New Hampshire shrank due to rains from the last 2 weeks, while abnormal dryness expanded in Delaware and eastern Maryland and severe to extreme drought expanded in West Virginia where exceptional drought (D4) was added -- the first time D4 has appeared in West Virginia in the USDM’s history. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), 100% of West Virginia’s topsoil and subsoil moisture was rated short or very short (dry or very dry), and 92% of the pastures and rangeland were in poor to very poor condition. This is a record high percentage of topsoil moisture short or very short in the 22-year record for West Virginia, and a record low statewide pasture and range condition index. Reports have been received of widespread crop loss and water hauling for livestock and irrigation, pastures/meadows not regenerating, low streamflow, and dry soils.
