  1. Just mentioned that last page back. Hopefully it continues. Windy as hell here.
  2. visibly trends that the comma head extension is shifting SW and pivoting the last few frames. @JakkelWx what radar do you use? I am frustrated with the Mount Holly radar, since the update.
  3. Clipper pattern? Progressing to loading pattern for a MECS
  4. Very much so, The snow area missed me by miles. A crazy gradient from West to East. To say the least I was bummed.
  5. Mount Holly, some cool wording. They always do an exceptional job in the AFD. In response to the the deepening surface low and increasing cold air advection, the wintry mix along I-95 will quickly change back over to snow Monday morning, and the rain/snow line will push back toward the coast throughout the day. The strongest winds and heaviest snow rates are not forecast to align (strongest winds likely occurring in rain and mixing), therefore precluding the need for a Blizzard Warning. A change over to all snow is expected on the back side of the storm, even all the way to the coast, as the system begins departing into Monday night. The exact placement and strength of the low will dictate exactly where the heaviest snow falls. The complexity of this system lies in details of the system transitioning from an overruning precip regime to a mesoscale banding (frontogenetic forcing) and wrap-around precip regime early Monday. The latest 12Z guidance suite has continued trending the f-gen banding potential a bit northward, which suggests the greatest potential for this to occur across portions of northern New Jersey (north of I-195) and eastern Pennsylvania (Lehigh Valley and east/north). West of the f-gen forcing, some guidance suggests that a dry-slot will advect in around daybreak west of the Philly metro. The storm total snowfall forecast was updated to reflect these features and the mixing farther south/west. Generally 6-12" is forecast for around the Philly metro with less south/east and more to the north. The axis of f-gen can certainly change over the coming forecast updates. Snow totals in the banding may exceed the broadbrush ~18-24" storm total snowfall locally that is currently forecast in these areas.
  6. NE MD, Northern DE, getting it. Notice the difference here from Philly ( 17 inches ) to Wilmington , De ( 8.7 inches )
  7. North Central NJ on that image from the ICON is a snow magnet when it comes to Miller Bs. Wasn't that a hot spot for Boxing Day too ?
  8. If I can achieve 6 to 8 I be delighted. Being a snow weenie and using 500 x close up I am trying to figure out why there is a 4 to 6 over my house when everything else surrounding it is 6 to 8 come on ICON what the Fucck
  9. If so then you have ops and short range models hitting on that. Tomorrow afternoon and evening may be the big win for me, not tonight.
  10. It was brought up by a met that the lack of cold air dynamics were poor in the NE areas of the forum, the beach and areas far to my South did much better ( multiple inches ) compared to areas further North . At least so far.
  11. Still light snow presently , maybe 1/2 inch. Not very confident about the daytime forecast of 1 to 3 inches and the night time total of 1 to 3 inches.
  12. Interesting snow may be heavy at times , accumulations less than 1 inch. ( very uncertain I guess ) Mount Holly forecast for my area. MONDAY Monday Rain, freezing rain, and sleet likely before noon, then sleet between noon and 4pm, then snow after 4pm. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 34. Breezy, with a northeast wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than one inch possible. Monday Night MONDAY NIGHT Snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 29. North wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
  13. Lets see if the EPS moves the axis of heavier snows South in time and also narrows down the area. Nothing exciting here just yet.
  14. Send that my way. Did you say Blizzard? I'm in ! ! !
  15. I am still expecting some additional snow tomorrow.
  16. Snow picking up but, larger flakes as well, still no accumulations yet. At best a thin coating on the grass.
