  1. https://www.forbes.com/sites/allenelizabeth/2019/09/05/another-warm-blob-is-forming-in-the-pacific-ocean/#293ed11514af September 2019 looking like September 2014? The following winter was pretty nice here.
  2. Doldrums. Would be nice to at least get a good, early season nor'easter in here to break the routine.
  3. Looks like eye is starting to form on Dorian per sat
  4. What's interesting too is the frequency of storms that had direct impact on New England from the late 30s to the late 50s. Like 4 big hits in less than 20 years? If we went through another cycle like that, look out.
  5. Finished up with 6.5" inches, which ties the January 20 event. Kinda disappointed we couldn't get more than that. Just to my west at the KPSM ASOS they reported 7...so close.
  6. Still snowing pretty decently here although not accumulating much. Visibility is probably under a mile. About an inch on the ground.
  7. I like that it keeps snowing into the overnight period. Maybe less than 24 hours before precip starts again with the next system.
  8. I have a distinct memory of a report on NBC nightly news from some time in the 80s where they said Mount Washington recorded a wind chill of -200. I'd have to think the -107 is more likely but maybe I'll try to find it in the archives somewhere.
  9. I'm afraid if I go snow blow now that band just to the west is going to drop another 6 before morning. Seems like it wants to slowly come east. 30F, light-mod snow
  10. Starting to feel effects of that band pivoting in from offshore. Down to 29F
