34F/16DP. Thought I saw brine on 309 this evening.
May be "winter" hallucinations. Guaranteed I see a snowflake tomorrow morning even though the radar indicates precip is 100 miles away...it's normal.

Hello everyone...been a few years since I been around here. See many familiar names though. Pumped for a wild winter.
Welcome back....I do remember your name. Wild winter meaning a bunch of peaks and valleys...should be fun though. It'll keep my mind off the Birds...

Get ready to rage lol we'll be in the virga all morning long...
Can you "guesstimate" when we'll (lower Bucks/Mont) see our first flake/pellet fall? If nothing by 10-10:30am I may start twitching...semi-seizures.
My guess is 10:03.54...

33 here and not sure of the DP, but the last part of your post made me laugh...lol
I had times where the radar showed good/mod precip over my house and nothing. And this lasted for hours!!! Drove my crazy!!!!!

12z GFS is way warmer at the surface....most places outside of the pocono's don't even start as snow. Big rainmaker though, deform band rolls right over the area but temps are too warm aloft and at the surface.
Meh, throw it out because I have no explanation. Wait for the Euro...if that sucks wait for the next run.

This looks like a perfect call imo
I thought so also...people shouldn't expect much in mid Nov. Believe me my eyes will be glued to skies tomorrow morning for the first flakes. (A tradition) Basically I just want to see flakes for the first time this year . If we get more...great. If we get less...great. Just need to see to first flakes!!! Save the good stuff in a couple weeks or so....good luck N and W for this event!

So if we see any accumulations do they get factored into seasonal totals or do these statistically fall into autumn category?
Good question. Practically no Mets come into here so maybe post this in the Mid Atlantic/DC subforum where more Mets migrate.

I don't like this for anyone S and E of Quakertown area. Not a great setup in the heart of winter for the coastal plain, let alone mid november. I would be shocked if anywhere S of Qtown sees anything outside of a slushy inch. Lehigh valley though, this may be an all time fall snow storm...
Hell, that's fine by me for mid Nov...

Not really they are always out the week before thanksgiving
Thanksgiving falls on different dates and thanksgiving is super early this year (11/22) so maybe that's why I thought the predictions came out early.

These winter predictions from our local outlets are out earlier than normal I believe? Are they that confident?

And ofcourse just saw our favorite weather women on nbc10. Said no snow will make it into philly maybe a quick mix well nw of philly
She is annoying and puts a damper on any possible snow threat....

Maybe start a new thread for this potential event? Or will that jinx things?

Already lost my Eagles cap earlier this year out the window while driving 70-75mph and gusty winds.....have my Flyers cap on currently which may get blown off as well if not careful? Very gusty out there.

That's a sledding hill for youngin's
Growing up our front lawn had a nice "sledding hill" which was great Dec-Feb. We abused it into wet snow sloppy March where going up/down the hill screwed up the lawn big time. Dad was pissed...sledding on the hill canceled.

Had a couple nice showers overnight and another one now at 6:15am as I am sipping coffee in WaWa's parking lot mooching free wifi...

Nice Fall October night (perfect Halloween weather)....mist falling, a tad breezy at times and temps in the 40s.
-
Just went to get gas at 4:30am and it's super miserable out there. Gusty winds...moderate blown rain and temps in the low-mid 40s. Leaves are starting to drop as the back roads are beginning to cover a bit...looking more Fall-ish. If this was snow it would have been a nice event. Timing, wind and precip intensity.
