Soon as I saw your post about "sun" (it has been overcast here), out it popped here. That might hasten my turning the AC back on.
Yeah, sun has been out for a little while and bright. DP has jumped to 67....

Had a nice boomer this morning. I don't have exact amount but I would guess .5".
Super sunny out there right now which may fuel things for later today/tonight.

We got a squall near the end that brought the heaviest wind, I wish I saved the radar grab. It was like a severe thunderstorm for 20 mins. Then it passed and we got the backside winds but they weren't nearly as strong as that last squall. I want to say it remained in the 30-40 MPH range after the rain ended. It was a really tense 20 mins or so though and it really tore my area up.
Same here. Then the rain slacked off but the wind increased for the rest of the afternoon. All and all a cool but weird storm.

Short range models are very interesting for the Lehigh Valley. Looks like we could see actual tropical storm force winds (not gusts) for a short time tomorrow. Which makes sense given that Isaias made landfall stronger than expected. Hoping the power stays on at home and work.
I have my serious doubts. I'm charging 2 batteries for my cell and 2 batteries for my laptop as I type. I have a UPS as well....

Having either radar delusions or that is some serious precursor rain building to our south.
Yep....and I think the Berks/ NW area will get drilled again.

Not looking forward to moving all my drum / recording equipment out of the basement. The Neshaminy creek will be angry. 6 inches? That is enough for bad flooding.
I'm a big music guy and that would suck very badly if damaged. Thankfully I took a couple things out of basement (10 minutes?) and the rest I don't care about...

Looks like my low this morning may be 77 and the dp is literally some 10 degrees lower than yesterday, ahead of the cyclone.
NHC now has Isaias progged to briefly become a hurricane again with the 5 am update, as it moves into more open water off the coast of Florida. It will depend on what happens to it when it hits the Carolinas regarding any intensity up here around 40 lat.
Just heard this. No drama here but I think this thing may nail us more than we think....

Awesome looking anvil off to my NW. Looks like the Allentown area is taking it on the chin again.
We're all so close so I don't any of us are out of the game. Philly/NJ could get drilled and NW gets screwed......who knows?

I remember getting out of work early for Floyd. I thought it was ridiculous—it’s rain, not snow. But I wasn’t going to argue about being sent home. Then I got out on the roads and my (at the time) 15-20 minute commute took close to an hour with all the road closures.
I did debate taking a walk but decided against it. Not so much for the rain but the wind—I didn’t want a branch or power line coming down on me.Anyway, this afternoon’s Euro was interesting. To my untrained eye it looks like it keeps Isaias rather consolidated so we only get heavy rains west of I-95 and not biblical rains. Still plenty of time, nothings set in stone.
I was younger then...didn't even consider "hazzards". But damn, it was fun!

I used to have a half-barrel water garden with 2, 9" comets in it, and Floyd literally caused it to overflow and I had to run out there and keep bailing it out so the fish didn't go over the side!
It was a nightmare to drive home from work for that too (let out early). Took several hours due to all the flooding, to do a normal 40 minute afternoon commute.
Mt. Holly just hoisted a Flash Flood watch for a large area -
Currently mostly sunny, 92 with dp 76. Isaias still on track to barrel through here.
I'm onboard with that. This Convid-19 stuff is depressing....need some excitement.
Berks getting some storms again.

Floyd was a heck of a storm here in se pa. 10" in several locations and lots of flooding
Floyd was great from a weather perspective!
Like an idiot and weather euthanist I remember going for a walk during Floyd when it was pouring. I'm 6'1" and there were portions of roads which were up to my knees. It was like a river....great fun!
