Looks like my low this morning may be 77 and the dp is literally some 10 degrees lower than yesterday, ahead of the cyclone.
NHC now has Isaias progged to briefly become a hurricane again with the 5 am update, as it moves into more open water off the coast of Florida. It will depend on what happens to it when it hits the Carolinas regarding any intensity up here around 40 lat.
Just heard this. No drama here but I think this thing may nail us more than we think....

Awesome looking anvil off to my NW. Looks like the Allentown area is taking it on the chin again.
We're all so close so I don't any of us are out of the game. Philly/NJ could get drilled and NW gets screwed......who knows?

I remember getting out of work early for Floyd. I thought it was ridiculous—it’s rain, not snow. But I wasn’t going to argue about being sent home. Then I got out on the roads and my (at the time) 15-20 minute commute took close to an hour with all the road closures.
I did debate taking a walk but decided against it. Not so much for the rain but the wind—I didn’t want a branch or power line coming down on me.Anyway, this afternoon’s Euro was interesting. To my untrained eye it looks like it keeps Isaias rather consolidated so we only get heavy rains west of I-95 and not biblical rains. Still plenty of time, nothings set in stone.
I was younger then...didn't even consider "hazzards". But damn, it was fun!

I used to have a half-barrel water garden with 2, 9" comets in it, and Floyd literally caused it to overflow and I had to run out there and keep bailing it out so the fish didn't go over the side!
It was a nightmare to drive home from work for that too (let out early). Took several hours due to all the flooding, to do a normal 40 minute afternoon commute.
Mt. Holly just hoisted a Flash Flood watch for a large area -
Currently mostly sunny, 92 with dp 76. Isaias still on track to barrel through here.
I'm onboard with that. This Convid-19 stuff is depressing....need some excitement.
Berks getting some storms again.

Floyd was a heck of a storm here in se pa. 10" in several locations and lots of flooding
Floyd was great from a weather perspective!
Like an idiot and weather euthanist I remember going for a walk during Floyd when it was pouring. I'm 6'1" and there were portions of roads which were up to my knees. It was like a river....great fun!

Got 1.25" yesterday evening, missed one to the north earlier, but the thunder was cool, and just had a shower, nothing really measurable. Sun coming out, 79F and super muggy.
Sun out in full force here...it's going to be really steamy this afternoon.

Small thunder rumbler w/some rain rolling by this morning. Should add even more moisture to the air which may set us up for T-storms later today. The sun will eventually pop out and temps will soar...

Got 0.06" more of light rain since my last post (total 0.44" for the event so far and 0.57" for the day). Temp still 72 and it's overcast and misty. Can now see an attempt at a sunset happening to the west.
I have one. Sun poking through and hitting the side of houses...

Saw a couple of lightning bugs here, lol. Nice series of morphing and shape shifting storms down here, mostly heavy rain with some thunder and lightning, not too much wind. Just crossed the 1 inch mark, coming down hard again. Refreshing!
They must have been confused as hell especially if the sun pops out before sunset...

Radar looks far better than a 30% chance, I swear if this line falls apart lol
The line as a whole certainly isn't as strong as it was 1-2 hours ago but could still get an intense cell..

I'm a big music guy and that would suck very badly if damaged. Thankfully I took a couple things out of basement (10 minutes?) and the rest I don't care about...
