75F for a low this morning, 74F yesterday morning--heading in the wrong direction! Hopefully today is the last of the ludicrous heat as Redsky would say and tomorrow we start to back down to plain-old-uncalled-for-late-season heat.

Today should be last of it w/temps in the 90s, 80s tomorrow and 70s Friday....grass took a beating, brown spots.

Its in the running for hottest august, and the humidity is probably record high

What does hottest "really" mean? 10 days of 90-92F w/DP in the 60s doesn't even come close to temps in the mid-upper 80s BUT DPs in the 75+ range. The "heat wave" criteria thing is a big time joke...

Just plain brutal August, and i thought in mid july looking at the next two weeks long range we had beaten having a really hot summer my bad i cancelled hot summer around the same time in January i call winter lol

I wouldn't say "brutal"...uncomfortable would be my word. In years past we had 10+ day stretches w/95+ temps ala H-H-H....that's brutal! It hasn't been baking for long periods but it has been tropical for a long time. When I see DPs "drop" to the upper 60s and I'm happy...you know things have sucked. I would just like to clear this crappy air mass out...

Skies starting to brighten off to my west. Still dark to my north and east. Rains are light now (< 0.1"/hr).  Totals up to 1.52" for the day so far at post time.  Will see if the blob down in Chester County makes it here intact.  Temp is down to 68 so if anything, the air has stabilized. Smells nice and fresh out there!

Still stuff coming (a bit) and skies still look weird for this time of day...let's see.

This is definitely flash flood type rain.  I expect the usual areas in my neighborhood at the bottom of hills, to have some huge puddles.  Rates have dropped off to under 2" in hour but still going ~1.77"/hr.  Totals for the day up to 1.36" so far and still rising (to include the 0.05" from early this morning).  Temp is 71.

    Easily...it's almost dark w/super heavy rain.....mid afternoon..
