Speak for yourself. My town has been hit by 2 tornadoes in 5 years and my property sustained major damage twice last summer. No thanks. I’ll take a nice boring summer where I can sit by my pool and not coordinate contractor repairs.
Oh yeah I forgot about that. I hear you. I feel like I didnt even hear thunder IMBY last May.

It's been an hour since the last post in this region. Can we fire up the severe weather thread? I'm getting hyped about that.
@Kmlwx usually starts that, but someone can get it going. If there’s a “we’re due index” for thunderstorms, it’s got to be pretty high because the last 2 years have been duds.

Today marks the first day since winter started where there are no posts after the 12z runs(except Euro)
Hello darkness our old friend
My gut says we’re not done yet. But with the PSU storm looking like a fail, I think we have some time before we get a threat in the medium range.

I find it incredible that many places just a few miles from that band didn’t just get 4-5”, a lot of them got less than 2” while they were just miles away from 6-12”.
That has to be infuriating.

Saw a post on Twitter of some town in either PA or NJ. North side of town spotter had 4.5”. South side spotter (which was probably walking distance away) had 12.1”.

Nice wintry feel to today with frequent snow showers and gusty cold wind. Too bad the June in the Sahara sun angle melted a lot of my snow.

They were so, so bad.
2 storms in a row with major gametime busts. Despite the fact that the existence of a storm at all and its general location was predicted way far in advance.

I guess the Canadian kinda nailed this, eh?
I think it fell ass backwards into being right here but totally missed the plot on the storm more broadly

6z gfs does some weird phasing capture thing which technically gives some of us blue

Measured 3” exactly on the snowboard. Based on the radar loop, that’s not bad. Unfortunately this event gave us a half rug pull at the final hour.
