1.2". 0.9" in the last hour. Biggest December snowfall since 2017!
Coming down well right now. Feeling good about 2" and 3" seems quite possible?

Those bright radar returns about to reach us...interested to see what that offers.

Anybody got a radar shot of that sleet line again. Is that something I can do on RadarScope?

I swear it has to be under 20F for my driveway to get snow covered.

Flakes growing in size a bit. Radar looks great to the south. Looks like heavy bands of snow developing and heading this way, unless that's all sleet.
CC mix line has been pretty stationary for a little while thankfully. I'd like our rates to pick up soon so we can max out the snow time.

Imagine we had some semblance of blocking in place to keep that high anchored in
We do have some semblance of blocking. A track up the Bay would be rain to Binghamton if there wasn't that high pressure/confluence/blocking. It's not 100% perfect, but the best we've had in ~22 months.

DCA reporting -SN. College Parks latest METAR w/ 5SM visiblity would imply -SN as well but that station may not have a precip identification sensor.
First T of the winter for DCA?

Not sure if everyone is just trolling but radar seems pretty good to me relative to what the meso models had at this time.

in Mid Atlantic

3" on the button, so 1.8" in the last hour! Sleet now. Grass is nearly all covered, so it's better than most of our storms...
Let's see what happens now.
