  1. Wetbulbing with light pixie dust. 33/20
  2. Light snow starting in Columbia as I get home since work closed early. Telework cancel uncancel
  3. Happily not wasting any of my precious QPF under this nuclear sun angle. Sorry VA
  4. EPS H5 looks quite nice for the 20th and 25th
  5. 35/17. Seems to have peaked for the day.
  6. Was about to say western DC burbs should be seeing snow soon, so glad people are reporting that. Seems on schedule to me.
  7. @CAPE Rehobeth blizzard. 5-10” for metros more or less.
  8. We cliff dive in the middle of a death band during a HECS?
  9. Yeah I don’t want to look at any other guidance today lol. 6” is probably a stretch for us unless we get a good band with higher ratios for a couple hours this evening. But NAM gives me more confidence that 4-5” is likely. Verifying the warning would be a big win IMO.
  10. For posterity, final call for MBY: 4.2”. Don’t care what all ya’ll get otherwise
  11. HoCo abandoned virtual school on snow days a couple years ago at the first ever chance to attempt it. Never went back. Oh interesting. I maintain that they could do a full day today. School buses won’t spontaneously explode when touched by snowflakes. Cancelling after school activities is obviously the prudent choice.
  12. Well thankfully that disaster is avoided at least. Down to 26 earlier. 27/18. HoCo grew a backbone. No early dismissal today (yet).
  13. 30/16. Don’t pull any rugs out while I’m asleep.
  14. Solid dusting north of DC for the hrrr
  15. Warnings and advisories issued. Warnings up for all of MoCo and HoCo. Advisories for everything north/east of them.
  16. 3-4” mean focused on that D10 period. GEPS looks close to EPS on H5, but weaker surface reflection. GEFS farthest off, but still not a bad look.
  17. I think our zone (SE Howard) is probably the farthest north they’d consider upgrading at this point?
  18. 3 globals really aren’t that far apart at H5 for next week. Subtle placement and strength differences results in a MECS to clear and cold. I’d expect ensembles to be pretty lit up?
