  1. Seems like there’s been bouncing around with whether that cut off gets shunted south or stalls near us. Today guidance says south. Tune in at 0z for the next change!
  2. Euro goes full drought buster for next week. 3-6”.
  3. Briefly yellow’d on radar at home it seems. Sidewalks not even totally wet here in Greenbelt.
  4. lol will the rain actually make it!?
  5. Last year was very quiet as well. Has to be notable historically with how few thunderstorms we’ve had.
  6. ^0z euro looks nice as well
  7. Luckily models today are all pretty bullish on additional rain over the next week.
  8. Several of the meso models showed a HoCo screw zone and that looks to be unfortunately verifying pending a final line.
  9. Jeez HoCo getting missed in every direction
  10. Radar filling in nicely so cautiously optimistic it’s not a shut out for anyone…
  11. Wouldn’t rule it out. That would be a kick in the huevos, but drought begets drought oftentimes.
  12. I’ll hug the euro. 0.5-1” tomorrow than a stationary cut off starting next Sunday that drops another 1-3”.
  13. Nice record of air pollution near Baltimore over the last 25 years.
  14. Rain has fallen today. Nothing even close to measurable.
  15. Had like 10 raindrops earlier and now getting some good wind gusts as the cell near me collapses.
  16. It’s totally on an island now, but still kinda crazy.
  17. How many consecutive GFS runs have had a hurricane in the gulf next week? Kinda nuts at this point.
  18. Looks substantially clearer this morning. And low of 50F!
  19. Visibility probably under 2mi in Columbia
  20. It’s a pretty similar look to the worst dust storms we had in Iraq when I was there. Although we got visibilities down to <1/4mi with dust.
  21. Based on ensembles and op runs, seems like we at least get back toward normal June precip rates starting with the Monday-Tuesday storm next week. Not really filling the deficit, but hopefully stops the deficit from growing.
