    Lol I’m fine as long as it quickly melts, but it was unexpected (for me), things didn’t look too promising last night.

    Right on the southern edge of that band, looks like it’ll mainly impact extreme western Suffolk and Nassau. Should get clipped for a few minutes though. Temp still 32, haven’t measured yet.

    My PWS (in West/Central Suffolk) is indicating liquid precipitation and a temp of 35. 35 as well here in Bridgeport and alternating between light and moderate snow.

    Light rain here in Hauppauge, temp is 34. Long Islanders and driving don’t mix well when it’s sunny, add a wintry mix and it’s a Russian car crash compilation video.

    First flakes of the day mixing in with sleet in Lake Grove (Suffolk), temp is 35. Coating of sleet in some areas.

    Just caught a shooting star in Westchester, it’s a shame it was cloudy last night. Second one I’ve seen in two weeks, doesn’t sound like much but I’ve only seen maybe 4 or 5 in my entire life.

    That stat is surprising, it hasn’t even felt that cold outside of a few days/nights.

    It’s legitimately snowing, totally wasn’t expecting that. Temp is 33.

    RH hasn’t dipped below 30% here. Currently 36/11. High was 41.

    Temp here didn’t really start dropping until almost 5 AM. Bottomed out at 33.

    33.4 with light snow, no accumulation, should be tapering off soon.

    Rain/snow mix in Selden. Home temp down to 34, still have a few tropical plants to bring indoors but they’ll be fine until later. I miscalculated the arrival of cold air by about 6 hours.

    40 and light rain here. My mother says it’s snowing in Manahattan.

    That’s insane, that’s about as cold as it typically gets for the entire year here, and never that cold this early, even December rarely sees single digits. Temp is now free falling, currently 45°F, down from 55°F about 20 minutes ago.

    “Winter Storm” posted along the LIE since yesterday and I saw them loading up the salt trucks just a short while ago. This is overkill imo. Car is displaying 60 degrees right now with on and off light rain.
