  1. The DC area is the furthest south I’ve ever lived, furthest north was Bergen County NJ. I belong down south or in the southwest, I want this weather for at least 2/3rds of the year. 87/73/94 here now with the clouds moving out.
  2. This humidity + the heat is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in the month of October. October warmth always feels dry and crispy, not steamy. Obviously not a complaint from me, I love it, but wow. Clouded up out here, hopefully it’s temporary as temps were soaring through the 80’s. Currently holding at 85 at home, 87 where I am.
  3. Heat Index already at 90 here, that was fast. Temp is 84.
  4. 0.37” here, which brings the monthly total to 0.89”.
  5. Heavy rains literally right to my north and west, but its moving ENE and may miss me entirely. Edit: Looks like I’m in a good position, but I’m sure it’ll be short lived. POURING now.
  6. I personally haven’t noticed an uptick in mosquitos, but I was in CT yesterday and all along the highways I saw signs displaying “Triple E Advisory Avoid Outdoors at dusk and dawn”, I’d never heard of “EEE” but after googling it I never want to go back to CT.
  7. 0.09” fell overnight which brings my monthly total to just 0.52”.
  8. Topped out at 83 here. Dews in the 70’s made it feel closer to 90 though.
  9. 85/54 today, very nice for late September. My dream climate.
  10. 80/47 here, currently 62, today has felt very western.
  11. I really thought we managed to hit 90 in October of 2007, this feels like some sort of Mandela effect. I mean, I distinctly remember it, along with being in an overcrowded NYC school without AC or fans.
  12. 0.43” for the month so far. Grass turning brown again for the umpteenth time this year. If I owned a house here I’d be big on xeriscaping, summer rainfall is far too inconsistent.
  13. 75/74 here this morning, rain missed me to the north and the south, that’s been the theme lately. I wouldn’t mind if we received a full blown hurricane, I’m so bored.
  14. Very tropical looking sunset. This is my first time taking the ferry between LI and CT. The air feels warmish but the wind is making it slightly chilly (but bearable).
  15. Looked a lot like this storm wanted to spawn a tornado.
  16. Sky lighting up to the north from those storms way up in central/northern CT.
