  1. More pandemics this winter than inches of snow!
  2. Sorry to hear about your mom. Prayers for her, and you.
  3. Yeah, double checked that data and it was wrong. That's why I deleted the post. 1400 cases not 127K.
  4. I hope you feel better soon. Are you self quarantined?
  5. I'm curious as to what you think the response should have been. There was a swift travel restriction put in place that was heavily criticized by the press (as usual), but certainly slowed the initial spread of this virus. You cant send a testing kit to everyone in the country when these kits didnt exist. Our country is faring far better than most.
  6. Parting sendoff thunderstorm. Oh, the irony. Crazy gusty winds.
  7. My grass needs mowing. On march 3rd!! Good thing I close on the sale tomorrow morning. Movers just finished packing all our stuff. So long, Stephens City. I will miss your convenience and the only house that my children have called home. But, that's it.
  8. Brief snow shower here. 3rd best event of the season!!
  9. Only that it'll be hot and uncomfortable for months on end starting a couple months from now.
  10. I'm good with no more snow this year. The early jan 4" slopfest would finish me above NOVA and the beaches for the first time in several years!
  11. Out 522N. Just NW of Lake Holiday. Hopefully I did not buy property in another precip shadow desert. At least I got an extra 260' elevation. Unbelievably, we got beat- out on a 2000' property in Linden. We got a lot more land with this place though and being NW offers some advantages too at times. The prospect of returning home was appealing to me, but the real disappointment is losing out on that elevation. Summer days are 6 -7 degrees cooler up there and snow hangs on for far longer.
  12. I am moving (bye bye Stephens City) on March 3 and 4. If there is any chance of a winter storm this year, then it is likely to happen then. Of course, it's far more likely that we just continue to add to our 35F rain totals during those 2 days. Hoping for sunny and 50F.
  13. March 2013 kicked off the best 2 year stretch of weather mby has ever seen. And by a country mile.
  14. Had .5" snow before brief flip to sleet before ending. Prob all fell in 45 minutes between 4 and 5 am. Now seeing some rain start to fall.
  15. Beautiful fat fluffy dendrites. Gorgeous watching it come down. Wish this would last longer.
  16. Snowing moderately. Close to heavy now. Ground is white. But the band of precip is narrow on radar. 28F.
  17. Let it be warm. Selling my house and preparing to move. Warm and dry would be preferred for the next month or two.
  18. Sky here is breaking. 4" on the nose on elevated surfaces. Trees caked in heavy snow. Beeuuutiful!
