  1. MECS at the lowest sun of the year. Perfect. Pray that it actually happens.
  2. Lol. That'd be top 3 snow storm off all time out here. The NAM is an embarrassment.
  3. Yes, but their soil is 5,000 ft further from the Earth's core, so it's cooler.
  4. It was amazing. I stayed outside most of the day, playing and shoveling, or just walking and sightseeing. The rates from late morning and early afternoon was astounding. I can still here the sound of the pouring flakes on my jacket as thunder rolled. Vis definitely under 200 yards, and it wasn't really windy. You could see the snow piling up. I remember it like it was yesterday.
  5. It did. There was a minor snow event a couple days later, as seems usual after a big storm, but it was warm and slushy. Mid Feb sun and warmth melted it all too quickly. Snow piles lasted a while though.
  6. Will my move NW payoff? I love that snow map!
  7. Beleive that was a stronger low, no? That storm still ranks the King in intensity out here. Temps in the low teens, thundersnow, and 32" in 16 hours. Almost 5" in an hour at the height of the storm. I'll never forget it. I hope this storm can be half what that one was.
  8. Snowflakes need to stay at least 6' from one another. Shouldn't be a problem.
  9. I know, that was the point of my post. It's one of the few ways we can outscore you guys to our east. Hoping for a good storm again one of these years that isn't a forum divider.
  10. And it beats the hell out of reading the reports of puking snow in DC/ Baltimore while we are staring at cloudy skies.
  11. What does half open mean? Need to know before I plan a trip up there. Don't want to drive up and you are closed.
  12. Yep, I figured that. You don't normally have snow then either!
  13. Congrats! Looking forward to coming out to try that Russian Imperial Stout.....and finally seeing some snow.
  14. Very true. I thought Stephens city was windy. There it seemed magnified on windy days. Here, it's just windy almost every day.
  15. Temps rose overnight under NW winds and clearing skies. Lol. Unreal. Add yet another day with window rattling winds here to the record.
  16. Partly cloudy. Low of 23 just after midnight before the clouds arrived. Now 28. Not enough moisture for snow, but just enough to ruin what could have been a morning with temps in the teens.
  17. He's a clown. Fortunately for him he happens to work in a circus.
  18. Fortunately for you, your team plays my Cowboys on whatever day next week. Ravens could beat them without any QB at all. Just line up 10 on 11 and direct snap to the RB. 50 times and 300 yards later you get a 31-3 win. The 3 points comes on a 59 yard field goal in garbage time midway in the 4th, after having failed to convert a fake punt on 4th and 15 from their own 20 the previous drive. I loathe football.
  19. Gosh, I am sorry to hear. Deepest condolences.
